Yeah, it happened to me right after I posted that. I deleted that sandbox and cloned another. It happened about 10 mins after that I started using one so I cloned another one. I'm going to time it if it happens with this clone.

I've been re-cloning my sandbox and like clock work the add-ons are disabled exactly 10mins after starting Firefox up. I assume there's a timer ticking away to check something that this happens. Isn't there an about:config setting to stop that?

Ok, happened to me as well. I can still use all the addons though, It simply says they're not verified and I should be careful.
Nothing is different unless I go in the addons page where they show up with a yellow warning.
Disabling signature check beforehand was a good move.
They can take their time with the fix, I ain't turning the botnet settings on, I could stay like this forever if need to.

Google doesn't truly care about "controlled platforms" beyond one thing: stopping users from blocking their html/javascript/youtube ads, which is something Firefox does very well. Since they control the development of Chrome (and thus Chromium), Firefox, the biggest browser with a different rendering engine and more powerful add-ons, is their biggest threat.
