Yeah, when you punish people incredibly hard for simple stuff, all you do is encourage them to learn to use a VPN and ban evade. I understand if you ban somebody on one board, that's fine. I've been banned from Jow Forums many times recently for starting legit threads critical of Trump. Mods shut it down straight away and give me a 3-day ban. Literally happened about 8 times in the past 2 months at least. There is no doubt in my mind that Jow Forums has been taken over by JIDF.

I wouldn't be surprised if other boards were pozzed too by other interest groups.

If they don't ban, then Jow Forums doesn't get that legal protection. If somebody posts cp and Jow Forums's server spreads it around and Jow Forums doesn't do anything against it, then lawyers will suit up and make easy money suing Jow Forums. If you can hide behind the cover of "monitoring for illegal content" then you're safe from the US government. This is why banning is on every platform.
