Here's the real fix:

No need to enable "studies" and other shit.
On desktop - install it as a temporary extension in about:debugging and then delete it.
On Android - install it as a normal extension and, once again, delete it afterwards. You may need to re-enable some of your extensions manually after applying the fix.
