lcd of the era was always inferior to crt with higher input latency, lower brightness and contrast, and shit viewing angles

the only downsides to crt was the size and power consumption.

I just said thanks... I like looking at the past, too. The problem is that it makes me sad as fuck just remembering how things were much simpler back then, being a kid and all. I think the photo I posted is actually pre-2005, probably 2002 or 2003. It was my grandfather's computer and I remember browsing Yu-Gi-Oh and Bionicle websites back then. Can't remember the specs right now, but I remember the computer had Windows 98 installed and some games like DOOM, Duke Nukem 3D, Resident Evil and Need for Speed that my uncle (RIP) liked to play.
At the time I didn't have a computer at home, but I was having lots of fun playing with an old SNES my mother gave me. I even had some friends at school...
