You can turn the volume up high if you're not at your computer so you hear when your name is mentioned. It's 1-2 hours from the start of the interview. My stuff has been seeding for about 6 months on average - does the rate increase drastically with longer seedtime?

It goes up but not drastically. The best thing to do is seed files where you are the only seeder or 2nd seeder.

The smart strategy is to use private usenet or DDL for popular files, and save your private trackers for rare files. That way your ratio doesn't suffer at all while getting most of your content from private usenet or private ddl.
Eh wasn't too serious, I agree that un has its place, especially for newer pirates. I'm post ratio on all the trackers I care about anyways, so I'm mostly talking about keeping old torrents alive so others can access that content.
