so my question was - if i download just the engine (either servo or webkit) and just feed it with url, could i get it displayed without any additions like the Firefox and Chrome have on top of the core engine?

Servo is just a library. It's also not done yet. Gecko used to be a properly embeddable library for other applications but that failed some time around Firefox 4. You would need to build the rest of the browser yourself.
Ultimately I think the end game is Mozilla making Servo a properly exportable library to allow people to build their own browsers again, since that would crush most of the Chromium variants outside Chrome itself.

There's no equivalent of builtin finperinting detection on chromium. On Firefox, you should use resist.Fingerprinting.

There are minimalist browsers like Luakit, Qutebrowser, Midori and whatnot, which are just thin wrappers on top of WebKit or Chromium. They should be relatively safe to use. Maybe. Who the fuck knows. Half the point of using one of the big three browsers is getting security patches quickly.
Gecko is not something you can use independently of Firefox anymore so there are no projects like that based on it.

The option is lifted directly from the tor browser. You could use add-ons to mimic that fingerprint (canvas and user agent), but it is simpler to just set the value to true.

I want to go back about 10 years. Both Firefox and Opera were great browsers back then.

There are no real alternatives to chrome. Firefox is the codebase running all the non-chrome alternatives. There are a FEW browsers that run on their own rendering engine but they fucking suck (Midori, Falkon, uzbl, Vivaldi, etc). You either be a cuck and go Firefox or you be a chad and embrace the botnet and straight up use Chrome while logged into a google account without a VPN or proxy.

After what happened with Firefox and the addons being disabled I felt vulnerable and naked, but then I asked myself why would I need all those add-ons if I can use Chrome just with ublock origin (chrome because I handle lots of gaccounts for work and clients) the same principle can be applied to any browser..after understanding this I felt better.

Fonts on Chromium browser are way too fucking thin and unreadable.
Its a fringe issue but it fucking sucks for 4K displays. The UI has no scalability. Also I've found compatibilty with Falkon to be a bit shitty, and addon support sux.
