one of the rare good recommendations on this shill board. too bad it looks like something from 1990s by default

>too bad it looks like something from 1990s by default
And That's A Good Thing

>implying

>too bad it looks like something from 1990s
and what on earth is wrong with that user

Is this for music cds only ? Or can you rip other kinds like old softwsre or games?

what do you think foobar is user?
>foobar2000 is an advanced freeware audio player for the Windows platform

AIMP says hi

>looks like something from 1990s by default
So?
Change the looks then.

haha no thanks user, that looks like it might give me a virus. Have you heard about this mp3 player called Vlc?

Now it looks like it was coded in HTML. I wish we could get a good looking media player (like groove music for example) that has all the foobar options and features.

never gonna happen. best you can do is mod foobar to your liking

It always looks and behaves like shit no matter what, I'd rather use a phone app at this point.

>botnet2000
>not programming own music player

Ganoo slash Loonix BTFO

i wish html by itself looked that nice :)

Does it still use extensions that were originally found on shady as fuck Russian sites to let you do anything more than a basic as living fuck player?

>still no a ganoo/loonix/systemd version
Fuck off

atrocious weebery

it just works

i think i liked musicbee too, i want the automation of artist and album cover downloads, lyrics and such without having to code foobar again, i did it once then they broke it, now i guess with js containers it can be replicated but can't be assed. customization yes, i want to move stuff around and tweak parameters, but coding those placeholders is angst.
i'd use alternative player, but they have that weird obsession with stuffing everything including photos in file tags, which should be big no for any player.

musicbee can't look like this. who the fuck even looks at their player? you alt tab from it the second you launch it

Idk, all i know was that foobar used to show a smiley showing the finger back in skype days. Still a cool programm tho.

I love how foobar looks out of the box. The only thing I would like to change is how many times you have to click to change your playlist if you use in a separate tab just like in my screenshot. Currently, I have to double click in order to change to a different playlist which annoys me. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Attached: foobar_default.png (1199x907, 391K)

do clean install, it's not double click by default, no clue where the option is

Does it sound better?

>botnet2000
I'll pass.

i love looking at lyrics and album covers and shit. but then again i think i mostly listen youtube shit and all my flacs and expensive gear pine.

if you aren't using xmplay, you aren't much

stick to your electron apps then FAGGOT

> MUH LOOKS
IT DOESNT FUCKING MATTER

ITS SMALL
ITS EFFICIENT
AND IT FUCKING WORKS

>I need my music player to look like a piece of shit from 1995 so I can spend time customizing it to look kike a piece of shit from 1999.

Just use Musicbee.

Sorry I'm too busy using Audacious.

I spend 1% of all time looking at my media player.
I use media keys and notifications for track titles sometimes.

I make mine look nice, but I still rarely even look at it. Hardly something I think people need out of a music player is good looks.
But then again everyone likes visualizers too.
The nice thing is that this allows for both, easily.

Who here JRiver media center?
