I thought somebody said it would be Wednesday when everything's all back to normal, is that still true?

Works fine for me.

I switched to Falcon and ungoogled chromium.

I just enabled installing unverified addons in about:config and shit jsut werks I don't know what the fuck are people crying about.

You don't need addons anyway.

They didn't say which wednesday.

Attached: brainletract.png (581x525, 55K)

I unironically switched to edge
It even has webm support now

If they just didn't mind Dissenter this wouldn't have happened.

That was b8 made by some user

Just disable their cucked certs and be done with it. about:config, xpinstall.signatures.required = false.

I can use it though for some reason

Did this. All addons from mozilla's repository still report they're corrupt on download though.

I was on my parents' house when this shit happened, where I have win7.
I instantly downloaded dissenter browser and it was the first time in me 30 year life that I used chrome (directly, because even steam has webkit as a backend)
anyhow, on loonix, which every machine has, my work machine has debian, my laptop that I shitpost now has debian, my n900 had debian... you get it, I used opera for a couple of days. Today, debian rolled an update for the firecuck fuckup. I am waiting for dissenter for loonix to jump over in linux too.
Fuck those trannies.

many addons lost some or all of their settings.
For me, the greatest one was the ddg addon. The update also reset some opt-in/out changes that I am 100% sure that I had disabled, e.g. don't fucking send queries from the address bar if I haven't pressed enter.

fake news
ff has been working for me since two days ago

>I warned you.

Attached: 1557068410518.png (1200x2115, 546K)

that only works for nightly and dev builds

>Just disable their cucked certs and be done with it. about:config, xpinstall.signatures.required = false.
/this/
I can't tell if you people are shills or retards anymore!

while this went down, i gave other browsers a try. here's my honest opinion (excluding politics).

Brave: good enough. the crypto stuff is opt in. you can install addons from chrome store. good performance. installs an update service that runs in the background 24x7.

Vivaldi: very nice and rich UI (the best one). chrome store addons are available. decent performance. comes with promotional links. but you can delete them all in one click. bing is default, but i like it. you might not.

Opera: the vpn (really a proxy) is conveneint, but don't use it for privacy purposes. a bit slow on my system. has its own addon store. social media buttons etc. you can remove them all if you want.

Chrome: not the best UI. but very fast. everything works in chrome. less memory footprint compared to firefox. google runs an update service in the background 24x7.

Firefox: very fast. heavy on the cpu and huge memory consumption. chrome like UI which is wack. resisting finger printing actually works. its own addons store. a lot of tabs doesn't seem to cause any issues. seems to be unsupported in many websites. youtube sucks on firefox. runs a maintanance service in the background 24x7

I had that done already and still got cucked and my addons disabled. It's not a solution that works.

wrong

tfw it just works on my machine

Attached: file.png (190x47, 2K)

then why do my addons still not work, retard?

explain

Because YOU are the retard,retard.

doesn't work

wrong

I'm using Firefox (from the arch repo's). Literally my addons were never disabled and are still working fine. People are still having issues? wtf how was I safe?

stop shilling

Attached: lol.png (713x493, 45K)

calm down baker

nightly is working? I just tried it

>sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
I did this today and magically all extensions works again

but dat too hawd!! :(

What plugins do you need on a dedicated porn browser?

ad fucking block. How tf can u deal with abnoxious malware-ridden popup ads on porn sites?

>download the "fix"
>set signatures required to false in about:config
And this shit is STILL broken for me, even the option to download add-ons from the store is fucked with a "check your connection" error.

I've been without an ad-blocker and my tampermonkey scripts for around 4 days. At this point I really hope it is some kind of weird conspiracy.

Your porn sites have ads?

WTF? I actually never had any problems with my addons whatsoever, they never stopped working. How come everyone is having different experiences with this? hard to believe some people's addons are still fucked 4 days later.

I used the code that some frogposter posted when the addons stopped working. That made my stuff work again. Will I need to do anything once Mozilla fixes it, like remove the code?

he's right though

yea, you should change it back for security reasons after it's fixed, as disabling the sig checking is insecure. Just open about:config and change xpinstall.signatures.required to true.

I wish I was making this up. I've used Firefox for years so I don't really want to jump ship, but this is a pretty big fucking blunder they've made.

The only thing to come out this is that I've noticed ads are infinitely more annoying and omnipresent than they were a decade ago.

Attached: help.png (1512x407, 79K)

wrong

post screencap of mozilla version.

wiki.mozilla.org/Add-ons/Extension_Signing

nice blog post faggot

How to fix:
Preferences > Privacy & security > Firefox Data Collection and Use
Enable Allow firefox to install and run studies.

Now wait until it automatically downloads the hotfix, it can take a few minutes.

I've got Waterfox on about 5 PCs, not a single one effected.
Got off of the FF train at ESR 52 anyways, and the Mr. Robot ad thing was the final nail in the coffin for me. I don't want Mozilla to go away since we need a fully open source browser, but I don't miss being on FF proper.

66.0.5 is out and addons are working fine again

I'm still on 66.0.3, Ubuntu is slow to update its repositories.

>The only thing to come out this is that I've noticed ads are infinitely more annoying and omnipresent than they were a decade ago.
definitely agree with this
I find it amazing that the average person even uses the internet with all the fucking shit and garbage the average website will spew out of a god damn firehose directly into your eyeballs

Wait are you lads serious? Have they still not fixed this shit?

Have the people at Mozille just given up? Stopped caring? Is this the end?

I'm on Debian and Firefox was patched by a system update yesterday.

get the 0.5

ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/candidates/66.0.5-candidates/

well when they do update their repositories you may wanna check about:support
see: ghacks.net/2019/05/07/about-baidu-search-update-in-firefox/

renaming the [email protected] in your profile should disable it's functionality, again reload browser and check about:support

>Wait are you lads serious? Have they still not fixed this shit?
It's fixed, but there are reports of weird edge cases going around.

Isn't that just a search bar option? I don't understand why people are freaking out over it.

Chrome looks like an ass. I've tried to go back to it but I could not stay.

>check about:support
CCleaner tools have a page for browser plugins: right click and go to the folder, then rename those you don't want (like the "reporter") then reload Firefox

Same here.

And Arch is "hard"

hahahaha

what's that coincidence detector?

Not a coincidence, esr wasn't affected

>Fedora guest gets update
>Mint host still doesn't

For god's sake.

Attached: nino.jpg (1280x720, 121K)

you're saying the Jew did this?

I mean the last addon in the background, I can't find it

>less memory footprint
why would somebody do this
just go out into the internet and tell lies

victim of trannyfox? be white... be alpha!

What I find interesting is that even though I had auto updates disabled I woke up to find my plugins broken

That's because the issue was a cert expiry, not a bad update.

Same here. Within five minutes I found a solution. Don't remember what it was but I changed two or three things in about:config and enabled something else in Firefox settings, restarted browser, disabled it again, restarted again, and then magically my shit works. Wish I could remember what the about:config stuff was or where I found it.

wait, your tabs aren't at the very top of the screen? that's uncomfortable af

my add-ons are functioning. What's wrong with yours OP?

If others experiencing issues, list which add-ons aren't functioning properly with specifications.

i know but shits happens and im too lazy...

it's from it's website but the user script is better imo, i suggest you keep it off and turn it on when you need it

ok, I officially give up trying to understand what are you saying

>The Google Public Key Infrastructure (“Google PKI”), has been established by Google Trust Services, LLC (“Google”), to enable reliable and secure identity authentication.

>Further improvements to re-enable web extensions which had been disabled for users with a master password set (Bug 1549249).

Also, out of curiosity, which add-ons aren't working for various users? Lists please? If this is a serious issue share so it can be fixed.

works on my machine

Oof, haven’t cringed like this in a while

Firefox broke for me but was fixed with yay -Syu,
I use arch btw

did you try to add .com to it's name?

ITT brainlets who failed to enable studies to get this shit fixed for them

stop the browser threads.

Attached: 1557216977352.jpg (1274x2802, 1.87M)

Another issue: the hidden preference user_pref("security.nocertdb", true); might be enabled, preventing intermediate certificate caching. Reset it along with app.update.lastUpdateTime.xpi-signature-verification and restart the browser to force a new signature check.

my standard waterfox version (56.2.9) has them on the top sooooo maybe stop using some gay ass incomplete alpha version and you will have them there

Reminder this entire thing is because "wrong think" censorship, and taking more control away from users.
blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/02/add-on-policy-and-process-updates/
>is a method for disabling extensions or other third-party software that has already been installed by Firefox users.

Uninstall Firefox.

all i want is a browser with noscript or at least the ease to diasble specfic scripts on the fly, that's all i ask.

Attached: 1493061799540.gif (228x170, 1.86M)

i will not enable studies, eat shit.

how do I do that?

deal with it then and stop whining
I have it enabled right now, I bet the agencies are already watching you

So did they ever fix the issue or is everyone on older operating systems like XP and Vista completely fucked for the rest of time and forced to use Chrome for adblock support?

Attached: 1537186855262.gif (500x272, 1.17M)

The studies do nothing but set xpinstall.signatures.required=false for all affected versions anyway.

Just block in your hosts file then make a new profile in firefox.

>fucking hate mozilla
>ungoogled chrome doesnt support noscript

Instal ublock origin

Are you fucking kidding me? How fucking incompetent.

60.6.2esr (64-bit) here, all addons working normally.

> xpinstall.signatures.required
> only works for nightly / dev builds
I can access it from esr version, so you can access it from any other version.
