Browser Freedom

>Chrome is a Google botnet
>Firefox is more or less the same shit but owned by Mozilla
>Google and Mozilla both support internet censorship
>Most browsers are just forks from their browsers
What does a guy have to do to get a browser that doesn't shit all an individual's right to privacy and doesn't try to force a political ideology on its users?

Ungoogled chromium. IceCat if you not oposed to stalmanisms.

I'll make the logo.

>>Firefox is more or less the same shit but owned by Mozilla
Check the source code.

Just use waterfox, it's a good enough substitute for tranny fox and you can keep your add ons

IceCat + uBO ftw, for mobile and desktop

>"Chrome is a botnet"
Okay, it collects user data and spies on you
>"Firefox is also bad"
Uh, why?
>"It's run by SJWs!"
Okay but why is it bad?
>"It's no better than Chrome!!!"

...Still no valid criticism. So Jow Forums, what's your argument against Mozilla? Don't make me laugh with the SJW strawman or saying "they're both equally shit so you shouldn't use either"

this
I still don't get why people are avoiding firefox. Can someone give me an answer

Firefox is malware (funded by google).

give me a good script blocker for waterfox, Noscript does not work.

The most recent top tier looks like this

Sadly this is the case:
>Ungoogled chromium
>chrome current version Version 74.0.3729.131
>Unupdated chromium: 67.0.3396.87-3
>no thanks..
And Iridium isn't any better:
iridiumbrowser.de/downloads/windows
The conclusion draws itself on which Chromium fork should be used.

true. irridium is ff equivalent to outdated ung. chrom. i went down this road for several weeks lookng for the best browser and it turns out that standard quantum ff once you disable all the spyware through the about:config or user.js is best you can get. frequent updates, fresh all the latest security patches, with any other browser, potential privacy benefits are far outweighed by security concerns

This. The infographics are ignorant if this basic fact that their top tier for privacy is the shit tier for security

So what's a good example of updated user.js ?

everything you need to know user (scroll). also ditch other addons, install ublock origin, umatrix, decentraleyes, cookie autodelete, privacy badger, https everywhere and last pass or bitwarden and you're done.

digdeeper.neocities.org/ghost/mozilla.html

cookie autodelete and privacy badger are reduntant if you have ublock and umatrix

ungoogled chromium is 74 version for ubuntu, 71 in AUR. Where the fuck have you seen 67?
Build it yourself anyway.

as far as i could tell overlapping functionality is minimal and since umatrix is static engine that requires manual update and leaves you vulnerable in-between updates, while privacy badger learns new tracking cookies without your interaction, i'd say keep both. cookie autodelete because i find it a lot convenient than limited umatrix control. also enjoy seeing the popup with sheer number of cookies deleted..

firefox botnet features are opt-out instead of opt-in, and the settings are not enough, you have to go to about config.

Still better than google though

Good job guys, your endlessly refreshing Jow Forums tabs are now secure!

>IceCat if you not oposed to stalmanisms.
what did he mean with this

how do you remove all botnet features?

I don't get the difference between umatrix and noscript. I usualy just install noscript and only enable xss and exploit protection otherwise the browser becomes unusable (the same goes for libreJS).
Also Firefox is set to delete cookies on close so maybe cookie autodelete isn't necessary ?

umatrix is no script + ublock origin on steroids. it does everything no script does+ gives you almost total control of every bit of information that's coming or going out of your browser. it pays to learn how to use it. cookie autodelete has an option of whitelisting cookies you don't want to delete, so you don't have to go through the same process of setting up site like 4ch every time you clear all cookies. maybe you don't want to log out of your mail, or but want to delete other cookies for sites you visited that day for the first time.. that's the purpose of cookie autodelete. firefox can only erase all cookies at once or you can go manually and delete one by one. umatrix also has an option to delete cookies automatically, but like firefox it lacks whitelisting option. umatrix recently also implemented so called recipes, which are downloadable settings created by users that unbreak sites, so even if you're not advanced user you can use those until you learn what's what..

Noscript does work, they have a Waterfox version on their website you tech illiterate retard. Or just use umatrix origin.

what about UR browser? Its very lightweight.
ur-browser.com/en-US

Safari

>no about:config or userchrome.js AT ALL on GChrome
Firefox is the only major browser that lets you fuck with internals, that is its value

Is Chromium a botnet? It's my browser of choice but I dunno Google is always shady

>try to force a political ideology

0/10 needs more meme

Nice to hear about the recipes. I installed matrix one and immediately disabled it because I couldn't understand it.
As for cookie autodelete, I still do not see it's purpose: Firefox stores sites preferences separately, and passwords are saved for the websites I don't want to log into (on startup, Firefox automatically launch previous session with, for example, bakabt already logged in.)

Icecat / Tor Master race reporting

>Check the source code.
For what? Hidden kiddie porn?

Both uMatrix and noscript are intended to be used to tweak websites. It's not supposed to be an install and forget solution. A lesser option is to use uBlock Origin in medium/hard as well as advanced mode.

Remember to block all 3rd party cookies. Instead of Cookie Autodelete, consider Site Bleacher. Bleacher is more comprehensive, but either are used to clean up the browser after you close all the tabs of a certain site, so that the cookies and local storage can't be used to track you; something that is mostly avoided by setting privacy.firstparty.isolate to true. You do not need either of those addons if you're using Temporary Containers in auto mode, something I recommend. Either way, use containers for sites you want to be logged in, and whitelist them from being cleaned. I personally clear everything on exit and use Temporary containers.
