I have a close friend who transitioned, he says he stopped enlarging and the hole is now a small little opening. He can still feel what he calls a "ghost penis" but since he lost his balls he also doesn't have much libido.

He was really handsome before he transitioned, smart, really nice to hang around. He still is, but I feel weird looking at him now and couldn't muster the strength to tell him he was doing a big mistake. He totally still looks like a man but with long hair and small breasts.

I feel like all these people have fallen into a world-wide delusion, only helped by medical-malpractice, which is absolutely insane that a doctor would do this kind of operation instead of proposing psychological counseling.

My best friend came out as gay at the age of 21. People who encourage and enable "trans" people are the epitome of evil.
They know very well that, no matter how hard they try, they will _never_ become actual women (or men, but mtf seems much more prevalent), and they know very well it is a mental disease.
But instead of addressing this and making people accept their real, biological gender, they let them chase an unobtainable fantasy, even encouraging them if they have any doubt, which has ultimately destructive effects and leads to their body being damaged beyond repair, not to mention mental trauma and a much higher chance of suicide.
What also drives me mad is that, thanks to Americans (which import this shit everywhere else in the first place) the term "transition" now automatically means "maim your body so that you can pretend being something you're not". Poisoning language itself and vocabulary is a dangerous brainwashing technique which people should be aware of. By embedding this disease in a common term, they are further normalizing it.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: depends on your definition of "cure". If you're talking about sexual dysphoria in terms of mental illness, then we do have a treatment in the form of therapy. But this isn't a one-and-done solution--like pretty much every other mental illness, the patient will probably struggle with it for their entire lives. Rather than reducing the illness, it's a matter of making the patient resilient enough to live comfortably with it.

Perhaps there will eventually be comprehensive surgical or psychiatric treatments that can address sexual dysphoria at a neurological level, but I'd be surprised if medical technology advances to that point within my lifetime.

Finally, there's the Holy Grail of sexual transitioning--true genetic conversion from male to female. I won't say that this is impossible in principle, but I consider this particular solution to exist in the same sci-fi category as FTL travel, replicators, true AI, and a 100% open-source laptop.
