deepin DE
everything else looks like shit
Xfce for maximum stability
>inb4 le screen tearing meme
Kill yourselves illiterate niggers
prettiest is deepin
most functional kde
i3
unironically i3, no memes. Don't be scared, you'll pick it up really fast and will never go back.
purty is nice but my machine is shit so I don't need to waste overhead on eye candy. I'm on xfce right now, I'd go with lxde if it were a more complete de oob
hard to get an answer because everyone uses different shit.
this is how you'll do:
>try each DE people suggest
>you'll find something wrong with it
>something that you dont like which can't be fixed
>end up wasting hours and hours on this without getting any work done
>break your xorg.conf
>have to reinstall OS
>break your grub
>have to spend hours researching that
>get fed up with it after 2 days
so you reinstall windows 10 LTSC.
>it works
If your new to GNU+linux I recommend Bungie or Cinnamon.
Else, try i3 or maybe sway
openbox is the ultimate comfyness
8 replies in and not one common recommendation. welcome to linux lunacy :-)
This a thousand times
I like Budgie or i3. Depends on the screen size.
I use Ubuntu MATE.
where's #1?
EXWM
MATE
Fuck you chink
I use Xfce on a laptop but when I tried in on desktop I did get screen tearing. How do you deal with it?
CLI
lxqt is cute, CUTE
Unironically this, no reason not to use Deepin DE
It werks on some machines.
Just wait for xfce 4.14.
It's chink garbage
Not him but I use compton.
>inb4 compton is ded
It works and I haven 0 problem with it.
Or wait for 4.14 as other user said.
Care to back this claim up? Chinks make the best UIs
GTFO chink
KYS chink
Kys Amerifags
Xfce + XMonad
I only got a old T60 and never really cared about DEs
I just get the debian xfce cd iso and call it a day, never had any problems with it
I love Gnome.
Deepin if main pc, IceWM if old laptop. If you want a tiling window manager i3 is the way to go.
xfce
is this gnome, or kde bluecurve?
KDE
>GOAT quicklaunch
>GOAT file manager
>KDE Connect built in
>tons of customization options
>can be made rather resource-light with ease
>krashing has been a cute meme for a while now
XFCE is a close second, simple and light but not feature-anemic.
(You)
KDE, used Mate a lot tho.
Deepin DE isn't Deepin OS spyware, you retards.
deepin os is not spyware
If you're a first-timer then honestly budgie. It'll get out of your way, it won't bombard you with choices and it'll look nice and familiar out of the box. You can go experiment with interfaces after you become familiar with the actual OS.
