where are my /ethical/ bros at? How do you ensure your ethical requirements are met with your consumption needs? Are there any ethically made smartphones? I guess the dutch fariphone comes closest to an ethical smartphone, but that doesn't really meet my consumption needs. Id really love to buy one of those chinese phones but they seem to fare as the most questionably ethical products. Apple seems to be leading the industry towards using renewable energy sources and seem to have the longest lasting lifespan products (maybe because normies don't upgrade). But they also have reports of workers suicide on their supply chain.
What are your methods for ethically sound consumption? Do you buy used? Repair? I have a nexus 6p with a dying battery, replacing the battery seems like the best choice but I'm also afraid to break the phone trying.

You know how the points are added in benchmark tests? If your phone gets high score because it got a lot of points from doing stuff to a .jpg picture would you say first place is earned and deserved?
go to your application manager and disable what you can. If you cant stand icons left behind (settings) then install custom rom. A theme and a alternative skin if possible.
