Irfanview

It just works.
Nothing is better.

It's bloated to hell and back, not to mention that it's a massive botnet, fuck you.

Yes that's implied by the "it just works"

What is the Viewnior equivalent for Windows?

I used IrfanView for many years.
FastStone is better. Although IrfanView has it's pros too.

>not to mention that it's a massive botnet
Can you explain why? I have people at my work in sensitive positions who probably should not use it if it is part of a "botnet"

I prefer XnView and FastStone Image Viewer.

that's the best part

Attached: joe+sjw+pink.jpg (379x304, 49K)

To be fair, everything is better than Windows 10's image viewer at this point.
I use Gwenview, since it's the default.

>FastStone
>XnView
those pieces of shit don't come with command line options, Stacy.

Agreed it's the best photo viewer in windows. but i use linux

Need I say more?

...

You don't need to, unless you don't want your opinion to be automatically ignored.

Hey, don't say I didn't warn you, once your company's critical data is publicly exposed for everyone to peruse, I'll be here, with my open software, with its auditable source code, and all of my data, personal or otherwise, completely safe.
Good luck, buddy.

1 word:
>autism
need I say more?

it's a fucking photoviewer shitstain

>It's bloated to hell and back
it's not, it has just the right amount of features and image processing stuff

Correction, it's actually a PROPRIETARY photoviewer, you can never really know what's under the hood, for all you know, China and Russia may already have any sensitive pictures you might have opened on it.

aaaand this is why no one listens to freetards

You fa/g/s are so easy to trigger.

>I was only pretending to be retarded

Right, and what does it take to fall for someone's who's acting retarded? Someone who's NOT pretending to be retarded, that's you.

such a shame it's not free software

>my open software, with its auditable source code
who audits open source software? who?

such a shame freetardsare not capable of doing something as good.
I bet if source was suddenly opened, within 6 months there would be 16 unstable and buggy forks and neckbeards fighting over which one is the best

Do winjeets actually use this garbage? God, why are pajeets so fucking retarded? Use feh, you spastic curry munchers.

ACDSee 3.0.

xnview is bretty good

No GayOS or Incelux counterpart.

I love it and use it constantly, but it has two major longstanding issues:
1) Can't preserve transparency when resaving.
2) On Windows 10, the save dialog autocomplete keeps fucking with your typing as soon as it finds a partial name match in the current folder. The dev blames Win10, but no other program has this problem.

Attached: rxn_eternalpain.jpg (600x600, 84K)

It does work good, people have different preferences though, and there's non-humans who cry and lie in gibberish about it not being cult approved but toddlers throw tantrums you just ignore them like irl.

>needing anything more complex than feh(1)
top kek

Propietary malware.
Use Nomacs Image Suite, it's free as in freedom.

anything other than feh or sxiv is trash

If you like irfanview use it, I do it works really good. Its software and its free, its free software.

Fsf is cult, freetards are garbage.

Free software means free as in freedom. You mean freeware, which refers to gratis software that enslaves the user.

Is it slim and fast like Irfanview?

Nope. It is good free software, but irfan lightweight, faster and has more features.

>image viewer/editor
>command line options

Attached: 1483485925736.png (399x322, 42K)

Fuck off beaner

>images are not navigated in the same order as they are in the folder
yikes

if freedom is so good why isn't there a free alternative.

I guess writing those 2 lines and attaching image with exact same filename as it had when you downloaded it is the absolute peak of your productivity.

This really bothers me.

>Irfanview
imagine that your operating system is so bad that you need third party software for viewing images

kys winshit user

FastStone > this garbage

Nomacs is great

lads, windows 10 sets Irfanview back to the default browser every time. What do?

Attached: 1548350886318.jpg (266x265, 19K)

works on my machine

>What do?
You know the rules.

>Can't preserve transparency when resaving.
wrong. picrel
>On Windows 10, the save dialog autocomplete keeps fucking with your typing as soon as it finds a partial name match in the current folder. The dev blames Win10, but no other program has this problem.
Can't reproduce. Maybe there's something terribly right in my win10 configuration.

Attached: Bez tytułu.jpg (1251x1046, 164K)

I used to think like OP, but then I tried to open a PNG with transparency (or anything with transparency, really).

works for me

>>Irfanview
>imagine that your operating system is so bad that you need third party software for viewing images
Says the turbo autist that uses a third party image viewer on top of a third party OS on top of a kernel.

>Bloated

It's the only single piece of software that ever worked flawlessly in all of my pcs, I started using in 2003 and had 0 (zero) problems, on some cases I even had irfanwiew open .txt files faster than notepad

>bloated
>irfanview
Say the Loonixtards that unironically think they can view an image using a terminal.

This is probably the only issue I've found with it in the last 5 years I've been using it, that really is shitty, I think it defaults to a name ascending order no matter what.

more reason to make sure your files are named correctly in the first place

HoneyView3 or nothing.

>wrong. picrel
Nope, the best that option can do is let you pick a color to make transparent, and the results are garbage. It isn't able to just sanely preserve an image's existing transparency.

>Can't reproduce.
'kay dude, I don't know what to tell you.

> what is nomacs

Is "Options -> Viewing -> Show PNG/TIF/TGA/DDS/EPS/RAW alpha/transparent color" enabled by default? If not, check the box and it should work. In my experience viewing is fine, it's resaving that's impossible.

Have you tried fiddling with the setting in this menu? I think I changed it to "by Name (natural/logic order)" ages ago and just left it that way. Not sure if it exactly matches Windows order.

Attached: sortorder.png (765x645, 32K)

macos, press 'space' get preview of nearly anything. productivity +1

>Is "Options -> Viewing -> Show PNG/TIF/TGA/DDS/EPS/RAW alpha/transparent color" enabled by default? If not, check the box and it should work.
Oh, there's also a "Use transparency for non-animated GIFs too" checkbox under the JPG/PCD/GIF settings.

>Have you tried fiddling with the setting in this menu? I think I changed it to "by Name (natural/logic order)" ages ago and just left it that way. Not sure if it exactly matches Windows order.
What version are you on? I don't think I have that option, but I haven't actually looked on that menu, but I'm on an older version too.

I think that was fixed in a recent update. As was foreign language characters causing a problem with viewing. Make sure to double check because if they are different it will obviously be a problem. Numbered filename like 1 or 01 or 0001 can cause problems for various OSs and programs in how they order them. Like some will go 1, 10, 11, 12, .... 18, 19, 2, 20, 21 or some other nonsense unless they are named 001 so 010 and 020 and on are ordered correctly. This sort of thing can happen in the other variables like if it is a folder of music and they have track numbers in their meta data that are not 001 format. Then they play all out of order in the player you are using, if it is tarded. It drives me up a wall sometimes when listening to audiobooks with multiple chapters and I forgot to make a playlist.

>As was foreign language characters causing a problem with viewing.

like manga titles with hearts and music notes in them as their filename (wtf japs?)

4.52, but I think it's existed for a very long time.

For special characters, there used to be a checkbox to enable Unicode filename support in the "Plugins" section. I think it was limited to the 32-bit version, but they eventually added support by default, which was when I finally switched to the 64-bit version.

>in the "Plugins" section
(Or it could've been in Language or Miscellaneous, I don't quite recall anymore.)

Wow you guys really managed to list some actual issues.
None of them actually bothers me and I am sticking with irfanview but it's got quite interesting.
Why I am sticking with it? Because it can be ideally mated with total commander...
...through command line options

I'm using the 32-bit version. There was a problem with the 64-bit version I couldn't correct, but I don't recall what it was. Something to do with the plugins download for the 64-bit version not being available or something I think. I haven't even looked into that in a month.

Free software means free as in free and software as in software. Irfanview is free software, it also fits the definition of freeware just as linux does.
>enslaves the user
You're mentally ill.

The gpl has absolutely nothing to do with freedom. Its a restrictive license that restricts users of gpl licensed software to the terms included in the license. Your confusion is because you've been convinced that the fsf cult redefinition of freedom is its meaning when its not. Freedom has a definition, it does not mention or include being restricted.

there are some plugins exclusive to 32bit, and some exclusive to 64bit.
I keep'em both. I made some tweaks to 64bit in hex editor, so both exe's use the same ini file.

I just checked and I have the option, I'm on 4.42 by the way, I assumed if the option existed it would be on the preferences menu, thanks.

There is still no hotkey for a 'paste to side'
And I use that funciton
all
the
time
so enraging.

I run irfanview all the time, and monitor network traffic all the time, and there has never been a single unusual packet associated with it.

No Hotkey for Paste Special (to the side) Top Bottom Right Left
no

>hardcoded keymaps

My god, how long has this existed? This is exactly what I need.

Attached: rxn_sip_KnK_mikiya.jpg (920x720, 84K)

I don't know I've been using that feature for a long freakin time though, AND NO HOTKEY
It's been requested since before Jow Forums existed, hell before the 21st century.
Still
no
hotkey
for
Paste
Special

If what you're trying to achieve is a side-by-side panorama image, maybe try making bath file with panorama commandline. Put it in sendto directory and you'll be able to merge 2 pic without even touching gui.

I made myself such *.bat files to create panoramas and mosaic images from multiple selected files.

Yes I've been through all of that.
I do work on screen and take screen shots and want it in one side by side or long image from those screenshots.
The mouse clicking is just the easiest way to go about it, but hotkeys would be so much better.

/panorama=(X,files) - create panorama image from input files; X = direction (1 or 2)

I just want Nomacs with icc support. I think at one point the lazy nigger dev said he didn't care.

It never tries to connect, that freetard is just lying like they always do. You can't trust what they say.

best image viewer ever created
already helped me to sort over hundred thousands of porn pictures

They're not files though, I am going directly from SS to paste.
Thank you very much though, Genius user

everything is a file brainlet

Right? It takes 10 seconds to open a photo... wtf

Is this what wincucks have to settle for? Sad.

But I only get screenshot files if I use win + prtscrn

I am using win + shift + S to take a selected screenshot. This just goes to a clipboard. There is no file. Saving the file and making new files each time would totally defeat the purpose of Paste Special for me.

I don't need a file saved of images I capture.

I just need one image in Irfanview of SSs I take as I go along. I'm not even saving the final image, I just need the information I select using the combo above.

When I am done with the image, I simply close Irfanview or paste a new series over the previous image. The preceding information is literally meaningless.

Is there anything comparable to Irfanview for Android? I.e., a quick image viewer with precise minor-editing features and batch convert/rename functions? In a small filesize? Preferably free?

Attached: android-logo-peek.png (212x408, 10K)

Have they fixed gifs being played too slow (32bit) or too fast (64bit)?

>no svg support
>no webp support
>no heic support

That's what I need.

>tries to view gif
