Your PC is waking up because you installed something that has a background service that calls home every night for some reason and you haven't disallowed programs to awake your PC.

Happened to me twice, once when I was trying to post to instagram from desktop and installed a program called Gramblr and another when I was using a WebGUI for qbittorrent. In the formers case it was trying to check for updates at 3am every night, and in the latters case it was trying to continue seeding torrents and running a tracker refresh every hour.

Once I disabled those services it stopped.

Linux has just recently getting the foundation it needs to be in the field of mainstream desktop operating systems. Especially ubuntu.

Linux does much more than windows, and it is completely open source. No spyware, no keyloggers, and it doesn't force you to use anything proprietary.

Your average desktop user doesn't want linux or even cares to know what it is. Linux is for true thinkers and real computer science enthusiasts.

Nope, it's windows update. There's even a message in the event log when it happens. Don't have any sketchy social media programs installed. Nothing else has a scheduled task to wake except Microsoft programs.
