Where to Japanese programmers hang out?
Do they have their own programming discussion board and reddit and shit? 2chan seems to just be consumer shit, where do they ACTUALLY hang out? Or do all programmers world-wide just ultimately have to learn English(since pretty much every language uses ascii english keywords)?

not sure it could be that the only supplied source I have received with Japanese made software is from emulators which are often more amateur projects so my exposure is limited. It would be interesting to see a Japanese github style website with a lot of professional level code to review.

If SE is any indicator, then Japanese startups operate in a chill environment like the West and not like the traditional Japanese office environments where they are just like normal salarymen/women; Worked to death plus mandatory overtime then required to go drinking with the boss and anyone else that wants to keep their job afterwards. Younger people would want to avoid this system if at all possible and would abolish it if in control over their own company.

Zhihu and an assortment of other obscure message boards. Some even require 'mini-assessments' to get in. The mods would send you a little puzzle or task and ask you to complete it before accepting you.
There's this weird phenomenon in China nowadays where slightly above average programmers think they can game the market for big bucks (whether it's crypto or some weird 'invention' they came up with).
