the entire VR community as it is today simply wouldnt exist in the same scale and accessibility if it wasnt for palmer luckey and the oculus kickstarter. And without the early oculus dev kits and SDK getting into the hands of google and valve, the vive and the index literally wouldn't exist, or at the very least we wouldn't be seeing comparable hardware and support for another five years.
