16TB. After I get a GPU I'm getting another 8TB Ultrastar

RAID-Z2 of 8 - 3TB drives, then I got a bunch of random drives for a RAID-Z1 backup of the primary array.

I have like thee of those 8 TB drives with movies/TV shows.

Mostly 6-15 GB rips by like Sadpanda/Geckos and shit. I probably got like 50 or so Remuxes all together but only waste the space if it's a really good movies that I love.

another 3 drives of that is JAV porn. I love that shit and only deal with high quality 1080p movies.

Another drive or two is random shit that doesn't take up too much space. I have a folder with programs/software, wallpapers, music, music videos (high quality vobs), and emulators and roms and shit. Also pc games.

oh, and yeah. Those drives are literally full. I need another one for my movies. Currently have to keep them on my temp hdd until I get another one.

5TB and growing. bought a 1TB drive last week on the cheap to backup some stuff from SSD and already over 1/4 full. games that are something like 20-40gb compressed sure suck up a lot of space. makes the sizes of my movies and music archives look minuscule. i'm looking to get at least 2TB for a next drive. i also need something that will allow me to plug in a few of these sata drives and connect via USB3. not sure what to look for. any suggestions/tips?

Damn dude. Are 8TB drives worth getting? Is there some sort of efficient way of getting a large amount of storage. I heard once that 2TB have the best GB/$ deal.

I have two of those. So far so great. Really didn't want to risk my drives in case this thing fried them because it's low quality Chinese crap but so far they're been good. I only turn them on occasionally though. I'm more scared of my os accidentally fucking up my data then the actual docks that connect it.

Copy/paste speed is great. There is a on/off button but only turn on ALL/off at the same time. I got just way too tired of having all my drives inside my case. Too heavy and one of the sata cables ended up fucking up my partitioning on two drives. I recovered one of them, had to re-download all the shit on the second one. I got those docks to make shit simpler.

8tb drives are worth getting. At the price range they're the best option. That's only if you plan on using all the space though which I knew I would. If you're never going to use that much don't waste your money on it. If you know you will the price is the best and freeing up your usb slots/power plugs is important when you have as many as I have.

So far none of them have crapped out on me. I always go Seagate because WD has given me bigger headaches.

yeah. When I do need to get that done I use active@ software. If that doesn't get it I don't even waste my time.

ive been sorting my data for days now, realized i bought wrong capacity for all my data. ive got a 1tb, 2x 500gb, then a whole cassette of microsd cards all the way from 96gb to 512gb. i got almost all the data on a 2tb, but now it's full & ive still got an old seagate with 500gb of music to add. guess i should have bought 3tb.

Trouble is if you like quality. Shit, I'm even starting to download 2160p stuff. I honestly don't mind spending 25 -50 TB on a single movie when it's that quality.

I just don't delete things and when I download something I usually download all of it. Anime, porn, movies, tv shows, pictures, music, books, applications, etc. All of it gets archived. Lots of shit disappears from the Internet after a few years so it's nice to be able to look back on stuff.

Anime/movies/tv episodes/music/games/etc. Roughly ~5 TB are just those. And I don't even store every anime/tv/movies, just the really really good ones only. I constantly uninstall/remove old content that I don't find relevant. I also use compression to save up on file size but still keeping the quality at relatively decent.

My brain is really stimulated by porn I guess. When I see shit I like It really gets my imagination going and when I find stuff that does that I don't want to lose it.
