Best torrent client tho.

Food for µTorrent tards
haven't seen that issue on my machine, but thanks for tip. and yes, qbittorrent rules.
YOU DUMB FUCKING FAGGOT WHY DID YOU POST THIS SHIT THREAD.
INSTEAD OF POSTING YOUR FAGGOT OPINION ON GITHUB?
>best
kek. It's not even in the top 4.
And why would that require a restart?
Nah. Same config here for years and I have the same bug.
Did you daddy never told you how to revert to previous build?
That's why I'm on uTorrent 2.2.1.
my dad died operating heavy machinery
sorry i'm late
user error
>being so dumb at using computers that you're actually bragging about using ancient versions of software with tons of bugs and vulnerabilities
Never had a problem with qbit, mutorrent stalled like a demon on my previous laptop
Why not just use Usenet? I’ve never had issues and always get full speeds, even on files that would normally not be well seeded on most trackers.
>inb4 paying to pirate
It’s $10/month.
at least I hope you get paid for shilling qstalled
Never had that issue on my machine. But I use an older version.
>can't import your private torrents without downloading them again
Worse than uTorrent t b h
STALLED
>vulnerabilities
kek, like what.
wut?
you just change the file location...
I was using deluge until i realized it leaked memory and made my server slow as hell. I then switched to qbittorent and haven't had any issues.
This was a couple of years ago though, is this still an issue?
>"shilling" a FOSS torrent client
I see you know what you're talking about.
Old bad, mkay?
I'm glad that I'm still using stable version 3.3.16 of qBittorrent
As someone who recently did the same switch, yes.
>open magnet link
>download dialog appears
>deselect bloat
>qbittorrent downloads then anyway
why is it so fucking retarded?
huh, had this exact issue yesterday but put it down to being a GoT torrent on release day

Transmission is good when it works but i have to switch between qBit and it because both fuck up all the time.
>Mmmmmagnetizinggggggg
Works perfectly to me
tixati
Werks on my machine. Torrents added through magnet links work as expected and don't stall.
>>inb4 paying to pirate
>It’s $10/month.
$10/month too much then
>closed source
yeah nah
Supposedly the Stalled shit is more likely to happen in the windows version, but I've been using qbit on windows for at least a full year now and it hasn't happened to me. Sometimes torrents will be stalled for a second or two on launch, but I've never used a client where torrents are instantly active in situations where qbittorrent would report them stalled.
Not trying to do the "I happened to have had a better experience so I'm smarter" thing. I actually want to know why some people have such a problem with it while others don't.
how would you manage torrents on a server remotely? Is there a CLI for any major torrenting program?
i switched to qbittorrent exactly because utorrent was really slow at starting torrents (or just wouldn't start at all), qbittorrent starts downloading after like 2 seconds
tl;dr works on my machine
if you have this problem and don't want to revert, just right click the stalled torrent and toggle Automatic Torrent Management. It starts imediatelly
qBittorrent is a good torrent client, I've never had any problems with it. Unlike most torrent clients it's free of ads and other bloat.
should I use utorrent 2.2.1?
If you want. If you keep rocking back and forth in your chair it will it going.
*it will keep it going
>vulnerabilities
no sir
>i don't know how torrents work but i act all smart because i'm a fucking retard: the post
If you enter a proxy in the utorrent 2.2.1 settings it will send your real IP because the utorrent devs are fucking dumb.
Dark mode when?
Proxy != anonymous proxy.
No, it sends your real IP OVER THE PROXY.
And some functions completely ignore the proxy and use your connection anyway.
>Yesterday working fine
>Open today and it stays open for about 1-2min and just crashes/closes with no error.
Why?
When you become a man and install linux.
>he thinks proxy means anonymous proxy
If you don't like it, fork it!
Patches welcome!
Nice cope retard.
You didn't realize that the vast, vast, vast majority of proxies are for connecting, not anonymizing?
It isn't the fault of the proxy you fucking moron, the software sends your IP over any proxy and ignores proxy settings.
The purpose of the software is to connect. If you can connect without the proxy you don't need the proxy.
>If you can connect without the proxy you don't need the proxy.
OK, let me just tell that to copyright trolls.
I didn't know.
Thanks utorrent.
I had NO IDEA proxies were for merely connecting to something and then sending your real IP to them.
I though they were for PROXYING your connection. Silly me.
The utorrent implementation isn't broken at all.
You don't know the definition of proxy, do you? My guess is you've only ever heard it used in terms of an anonymous proxy and thought that that was the definition, eh?
>I guess u don't use old software like me so you don't have to COPE very very hard to make your software look good, HUH?
You're a fucking idiot.
What's the point of even arguing this?
Proxies are for proxying your connection.
Utorrent tries to do that, and sends your real IP in the process.
Yes, proxies are used to connect.
Guess what your IP address is used for?
It doesn't matter that you're arguing that proxies are use to "connect".
Because in this case it doesn't matter.
Utorrent specifically uses the proxy to send data though, and completely ignores your proxy settings for things like DHT/PEX.
It does try to use it to connect anonymously but the devs are fucking dumb.
Not only does it ignore proxy settings for DHT/PEX, it writes your real IP into the tracker announces when it proxies to them.
utorrent uses the proxy to connect to peers though
gud job
>b-but it only connects!!!
pee your diaper somewhere else
>utorrent uses the proxy to connect to peers though
Eh? I thought it would connect directly if able.

When used in torrent programs?
