That's not a "foldable PC". That's a retarded tablet.

why the hell do these companies think this is a good idea after samsung galaxy's fold showed that it is not? Foldable screen is a cool tech, but I'd rather see it somehow else... like pic related for example

>building a PC around a critical part that fatigues like crazy with each use
at least I can replace the hinges/screen on a real laptop.
I "love" how computer tech just keeps getting more and more disposable and worthless.

I mean, the worst thing that they called this "ThinkPad"

>touch "keyboard"
The X1 carbon keyboard is what sets them apart from other thin laptops

ok a novel consent here how about the foldable part is actually a real keyboard ?

Actually a pretty cool concept but for CONSUMER uses. Microsoft are currently working on these devices to run Core OS that is for consumer use only, no professional wants to replace their keyboard with a touchscreen especially for Win32 windows because none of their software will provide context enhancements to the touch keyboard.

For a modern-only version of Windows, this device would be a pretty cool device for web-browsing, media consumption and *very* light productivity work, and I would absolutely prefer it over an iPad or Android tablet where the keyboard covers up half the display so you're seeing everything through a letterbox half the time.

Releasing this as a ThinkPad product is completed pants-on-head retarded.

Reminder that the first ThinkPad was the 700t.

on screen keyboard that's a fucking BIG NO for me

Jow Forums that pic of kid using on-screen keyboard on a laptop

K so it’s a tablet.

More like Maxipad

oh no no no no

ITT Applefags who can't stand the thought that ThinkPads are superior laptops AND tablets in every metric

>Releasing this as a ThinkPad product is completed pants-on-head retarded.
The first ThinkPad ever was a tablet

nice
would buy one

You guys are missing the point. It's not because it's a tablet, but because of how fragile and unreliable this technology is. Not what you'd expect from a ThinkPad

lmao look how fucking slowly he opens and closes it. don't give a shit if its a prototype, that's weaker than my erections

X1 carbon keyboard is shit mate.
So little key travel you might as well go full touch.

Thinkpads haven't been good for nearly a decade.

>but because of how fragile and unreliable this technology is.
That's exactly what I expect from a ThinkPad

>here's your thinkpad, bro
>we heard that you didn't like the new keyboard, so we removed it completely

THINKBOOK

10 years from now, your children:

>daddy, did you really use computers that had "key... boards"? like with a million little buttons
>>it was a different time, user jr., we thought that was how you had to do it
>HAHAHA WEIRD!

This is something that seems cool in movies but would be terrible in real life.

this has me so confused.
i simultaneously love and hate it.
if there weren't a gay software keyboard, i would just love it.
