Just delid it bro lol
not gonna read but let me guess - you need physical access first
Arch still doesn't have kernel updates with these mitigations. I'll have to wait, as I prefer having NEETs compile my kernels for me.
>Intel's botnet backdoor turns out to be a huge security problem
With Jews you lose.
is this just damage control for the ryzen 3000 announcement?
>mfw I got a ryzen 2600 last year
OH NO NO NO NO INTEL BROS
IS IT EVER GOING TO STOP?
Who gives a shit, use common sense 2018, and update your windows 10
Why can't Intel stop being pozzed
What the fuck is this shit again, more Israeli backdoors?
If you weren't a retard you'd read it. It uses JavaScript as an example. It also works on regular executable files so retards running random exe/sh files will get infected too.
>provides a program the potential means to read data that program otherwise would not be able to see
>processor resurrects your private browsing-history and other sensitive data
>bypass security mechanisms in Intel's speculative execution systems to siphon off sensitive data being transmitted in the chip, such as passwords, keys, account tokens or private messages
>hackers have no control over what data is being transmitted
>If they were to carry out the attack repeatedly, hackers would come away with some sensitive data
fuckin hell. wish i could computer hardware with steambux.
>muh fps
Thanks Apple for protecting me from Intel.
>Chips made by Advanced Micro Devices and ARM Holdings are not affected by this latest vulnerability.
OH NO NO NO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
based ruski suka
>intel cpus as early as 2011 affected
>have CPU from 2009
>mfw
Thanks Based Jim Keller!
Also not worried.
Post yfw didn't fall for Intel
Fucking top kek, Intel are literally fucked with their 14nm botnet toaster. Imagine buying Intel in 2019
lscpu | grep ID
Vendor ID: AuthenticAMD
Ryzen laptop? Nice
im so glad i went with ryzen.
no jewish spyware for me.
fuck, maybe it is time to upgrade from my 6600k to a ryzen chip
But can he single-handedly save intel at this point?
Unfortunately, it's CPUs from 2008 and up. Intel just isn't bothering to fix it on 2008-2010 processors.
>tfw sandy bridge
>windows 10
>common sense
kek
How easy are these to exploit anyway? As far as I remember Spectre and Meltdown are on the verge of impossible.
Hopefully he sabotages Intel for a while so AMD gains more marketshare
>dude vulnerabilities are serious business
>uses a obsolete OS that get's no security updates
By "update" they mean buying AMD, right?
>uses a obsolete OS that get's no security updates
what did she mean by this?
>she
how did you know
Thing is I have been running things the same for a bit now because of being paranoid about shit.
>Certified legit programs/games like off steam or official sites.
Goes on main desktop or laptops
>Questionable shit, free games, etc
Goes on VirtualBox Win7 with no network access and can only use a specific local folder, dvd or USB.
what exactly is keller doing at intel right now
>The attack variants include Fallout, RIDL and ZombieLoad, the last of which appears to be the most critical and operates by exploiting a design flaw in Intel chips to leak sensitive user data.
This is a PR release to shill out new gen intel cpus. Considering they 'put out a fix' they have known about it for months now and have even gotten to the point of
>future processors with the necessary hardware changes to address these vulnerabilities.
imagine major hardware design implementation to fix this and not destroy their performance...
can't wait for cortex video on this, intel will have a rough few next years
seekingalpha.com
their stock went from $58 -> $45
>uses closed sourced os
>not blind faith
putting off fires, literally and figuratively. turns out that unJUSTING Intel is too much , even for a hero like him.
MODS DELID THIS!
For the time being it's a local exploit. You'd have to get trojaned by a RAGE2-REPACK.ru or something. That's not to say someone won't stack exploits together and turn it into some Chrome driveby but for the moment you don't need to unplug anything.
>uses "FOSS"
>not hoping some tranny contributor isn't too busy dilating to push an update
How comes they never test AMD?

yup, i am upgrading to a Ryzen alright.
An exploit a day...
while using TOR in a WM... it's only a demo to show it's possibility

Yep you're retarded
You make me laugh, user. Thanks! kek
kek, good shit
am I safe with my toaster?
Imagine the idiots who actually bought an Intel CPU in the last few months. Like seriously. Think of the idiots who spent massive amounts of money on something like the 9900K.
Holy fucking shit these people are stupid.
>update
How?
Teaching the Pajeets how to clean their penis. Its quite helpful to keeping the CPU line from getting STDs.
What's with Intel and shitty security?
AMD shilling threads should be banned.
I may or may not be saging.
1. power off pc
2. pull out cpu, motherboard, ram
3. set all three on fire
4. go to store whenever possible and buy new amd socket motherboard with CPU and ram
5. install
6. power on and report back to thread
>intel becoming shit
>AMD is already shit from the get go
It's not fair, bros. We need more competition.
All these years Intel was basically cheating by caring fuck-all about security.
ARM doesn't have any of these problems. Apple is already fed up with Intel like they were IBM.
The ARM desktop revolution is going to happen soon. Most people don't need high IPC per core, and would benefit from having 128 cores with lower IPC.
nope, code running in user mode
have fun finding bufferoverflows/useafterfree/etc to exploit it
tip: you can even extract aes keys with this shit, lmao. intel is dead
>advises disabling hyperthreading below 8th and 9th gen
holy i've been shitposting about this so hard that i'm wondering if I made meme magic real.
All these backdoors where installed years ago on the factory. Like damn, when will these security researchers stop finding more backdoors? Should i throw my damn i7 laptop on the goddamn trash bin?
>you can even extract aes keys with this shit, lmao. intel is dead
Jesus FUCK
>having 128 cores with lower IPC
i can already imagine the mess webniggers and other shitters will create.
they are already struggling to create multithreaded software properly.
I have 6700k must I disabel hyperthreading sirs
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Doesn't matter You could have some shitter program using 100% of one core, 10 other tabs doing the same thing, and you'd still have 117 cores left waiting to do something.
/thread
Ah, so this is why my Windows XP machine got an update today.
>zombieload
yeap.
Are you a trap
>techpowerup.com
>shilling
>informing anons of yet another damnable intel vulnerability
that would the 67th in 2019 alone sir.
That's my point. Everything will be slow as fuck.
AMD I SAFE !?!??!
So I have 4 core 4 thread CPU now
>disabel hyperthreading sirs
kek
I have a core2duo does this affect that? Then again I'm also on linux so...
I can not believe the retards who bought intel after spectre
kaby lake is intel's 7th gen
en.wikipedia.org
i never realized that the sku numbers matched the generation monikers
t. amdfag
That's what Intel gets for not being diverse enough, they need more albos, black women and indians working on their newest chips
The people who can't multi-thread their programs will be forced to be more efficient. The people who can multi-thread will have access to far more parallelization than you've ever had on a CPU.
Shit wouldn't get slower, and even if it was initially slower, there'd be actual competition when it comes to ARM chips, so it'd quickly fill the gap.
There's no incentive to make high power, fast ARM chips, as they're currently all being used in phones, tablets, and sometimes laptops. If the demand is there, comparable ARM chips will start hitting the market.
x86 beat plenty of other superior (at the time) architectures. Just because ARM is fundamentally slower than x86 tick for tock doesn't mean much.
>dailymail.co.uk
Absolute pure bullshit
Heres the real news.
Hardly anyone is buying processors these days because the advances between 2011 and 2019 are so slight as to be laughable. You may as well buy a cpu made in 2011 and save a shit load of money, so they invent these bullshit flaws then patch your processor to slow it down so that you then buy their latest greatest cpu
>be me
>need high IPC (no not for gaymen)
>buy intel weeks before the first leaks
JUST
AMD doesn't have this problem
>check my CPU
>i5 2500k sandy bridge
>release: Q1 2011
>mfw
WHAT SHOULD I DO BROS
Considering the current state of the "industry" i really doubt it wouldn't be a complete mess for 5+ years at first.
>don't update since 1992
>never once had a security issue
>GET WINDOWS 10 NOW GOY NOW NOW NOW *loads gun and fires it off* NOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW
I'd tell you to buy AMD next time but most likely you'll full retard again and purchase an Intel anyways.
