CentOS for servers
Fedora for everything else

I know Canonical is trying really hard, but it won't happen.

Fedora

who is this

windows XP-tan

Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Long Term Servicing Channel

Ubuntu is the best choice, both for desktops and for servers.

facbookOS and the cute german lizard

For me, it's Fedora Silverblue

if you are hipster eurocock sucker suse.
if you are onions ubuntu
if you are actually normal centos and fedora

openSUSE at the moment. I really tried very hard to get Fedora to work, but it just never would. openSUSE has been a breath of fresh air for me.

Why everybody says CentOS is better than Ubuntu? Isn't it all just matter of how you configure your server?

no, ubuntu rolls fuck ups often and the red hat configuration is way superior

>Fedora
>normal
top kek

Because Jow Forums doesn't like what is more popular, aka, Ubuntu.
There's a reason most of the servers use Ubuntu or Debian.

Yes, but 10 years of support on CentOS is "fire and forget".

fedora is the one i enjoy the most, although i can't stand that it's named after a meme

it’s not named after a meme. Fedora has been around way longer than the meme and will/has outlived it.

Ubuntu because fedora sounds like a meme

Redhat and it's derivatives

Doesn't make the name any better.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux ftw.
Fedora isn't even enterprise.

doesn't matter, as soon as the meme gained traction the fedora name had to go

>t. zoomers
>uga uga bongo
it's the same configuration with upstream packages

hate to break it to you user but Fedora is a distro for adults who like to get work done, but for neckbeard incel manchildren who keep up with the latest "muh ebyn memes". Now kys

the meme is just that. It’s only on the internet that you see it. Laugh at the name fedora IRL and people just think you’re a faggot.

>all those buzzwords
are you mad you had to ditch your fedora when the meme got popular?

looks like someone is extremely self aware
>"hey user what's up?"
>oh no he's probably gonna see my computer and ask what operative system I'm using, then he's gonna think about the fedora guy memes and think I'm a nerd animefaggot
>*spills spaghetti*
>*runs back home*
>*uninstalls fedora*

openSUSE really is the best distro I've ever used

ubuntu

alpine, slackware, debian

I feel like most people who use it as a daily OS just installed it back in a networking unit and never bothered uninstalling it
or it could just be me projecting

CentOS
chaos logo.

what the fuck was that fedora meme posts

>CentOS outdated even by 'stable linux' standards
>OpenSUSE tends to have unresolvable dependency conflicts
>fedora is called fedora
>ubuntu still just fucking works

i tried it but still unsure if its meme placebo shit

If I want a system with the most up to date software, should I go with Fedora or Opensuse? How does Opensuse's rolling release version compare to Arch?

windows

OpenSUSE.

>>OpenSUSE tends to have unresolvable dependency conflicts
Wait another day before doing dup. Packman repo sometimes is slow.

>facebook has a distro?
>cent uses app armor (automatic fail)
>geico has a distro?
>3 cia niggers holding hands

NOTA.

whats wrong with apparmor and what is a better alternative

>>cent uses app armor (automatic fail)

Windows 10 AME

SUSE, they pay attention to their KDE setup and I find YaST handy when I need to mess with system settings

Ubuntu for desktop
CentOS for server

I use Fedora for some time and it was good, never used openSUSE

>Because Jow Forums doesn't like what is more popular, aka, Ubuntu.
I agree. Nonetheless, CentOS isn't some niche distro, it's used widely in webservers and while Ubuntu has a bigger marketshare, CentOS/RHEL is right behind it. CentOS default config is heavily focused on security and it's still imo better than ubuntu server

Gentoo

This doesn't work with legacy Bios, right?
