2bh you have hoarding issues if you can't manage your audio by filename alone

I don't.

MusicBrainz Picard

I rip pandora stations and use picard, then I upload to google music.

Isn't google play music gonna be dead soon?

This.

Yeah I think I read that it would be shut down eventually.

I was only using it as a backup so nothing of value lost except for free storage.

I gave up on tags. Use directory and file name to organise.

mp3tag and Album Art Downloader (stand alone programs); musicbee does a good job too. Easytag is clunky, but I've had more success with it than picard.

Pic related, or EasyTag on Linux.

ncmcpp or Picard

I download pre-tagged highly curated LOSSLESS music from private trackers.
If it isn't tagged I report it and wait for some peon to tag it and re-upload.

Tagging music?
You know you're going to die someday, right?

Nuh-uh.

This

beets works awfully well for me

python+mutagen

VirtualDJ automatically tags all the stuff I actually need to make remixes and mashups and shit. Everything else that "needs" to be added is completely unnecessary.

I just use the ncmpcpp tag editor

I have major hoarding issues and I still manage to organize everything with filenames and directories.

beets

ncmpcpp has a feature for it.
BTW I put filename as 01 - title.flac and sometimes 1-01 - title.flac. how do others name music files?

Disgusting.
Pessimism is LITERALLY for losers.

I don't worry about accurately tagging genres and condensing duplicate versions of names because I organize everything in folders. Semi accurate artist and song name metadata and cover.jpg is all I need.

i've used this since forever
apart from comps and splits i usually don't re-tag stuff unless it's messed up, i'm not autistic enough to care about genre tags

>title
>artist

Nothing else matters.

only time i manually mess with tags is if an album has varying or multiple "Arist" tags per-song. it messes with my auto-rename script, which
>converts flac to Opus 192kbps
>renames to "##. Song Title.opus"
>moves to "Music/Genre/Artist/Year - Album Title"
and i try to keep Genre very generic too I guess, so pretty much any "upbeat" music goes into Pop, anything with fast drums and guitars goes into Metal, etc.

I listen to music while I do it

this
who cares?

I use Apple Music so I don't have to bother with any of this shit
bye losers

Just use a competent music browser and tag per album.
You do download per album right, user?

icuck LMAO
