you should seriously consider getting a jailbreak for your particular version of iOS. either way, you've got no choice but to use third party tools just for simple things such as transferring files (outside of what itunes can natively support).

I never used an iPhone myself so not sure if there's something I'm missing, but why not just set up some local webserver or ftp on your computer and transfer your items over the WiFi?

- Putting them in iCloud Drive
- Uploading them via Safari (run a http server with an uploading script)
