Is there software that can help me sort an image collection? More specifically, something that helps me find duplicates or extremely similar images.
Pic related, it's the kind of image I'm collecting.

most filemanagers has a feature like this, windows explorer included. You press CTRL-a and DEL.

It's more designed for hentai, but Hydrus network is a tag-based image manager that has similarity detection built in.

Downside is it's user interface is somewhat unfriendly and takes a lot of tweaking to suit your preferences. Also, most of the auto-tagging stuff relies on boorus so unless you find connectors for a porn one you won't automatically get tag metadata.

>You press CTRL-a and DEL.
Mmm, I'll try that then, I am on Wangblows by the way, I want something simple just to manage the images every so often and be done with it, if it's built-in on the OS that's even better.

Try dupeGuru. AntiDupl is also supposed to be good, but I never tested it myself.

Can you upload a mega of your image collection please? you seem like a man of good taste.

That sounds a bit too complex for my needs, I don't care to fetch metadata, all I want is to find duplicates easily and if possible, images that are very similar, the latter to basically help create a set out of images, but I'll look into it still, thanks.
Thanks, I'll check those out.

Please post a collection of these images I beg you

I'm not home right now unfortunately, I'm phoneposting and I only have a small part of my collection on my phone, I could upload my collection tomorrow though probably, you should check this thread by the way, I posted quite a few images in there.
Sounds like this might be it, thanks.

kek, maybe tomorrow, I'll make a thread on Jow Forums around this time again and I'll post a link to it, it's not that big of a collection though, about 250 images, also check the link to the /s/ thread I posted above, it's got good stuff.
Also thanks everyone for the helpful replies.

WOMM

Seems like there's a bunch of options, will that one work on Windows >10? Looks kind of old.

Hydrus Network is what you are looking for and don't forget to deliver user.

Godbless volleyball ass

I'll ask in here since I cannot make threads and its related.

If I have two drives and I have videos and photos on both drives and I have many duplicates but one drive might have something the other does not,

What program can I use to merge them and make sure they both have all the data each one contains without duplicates?

Ideally I'd also like a sorting program for photos as well. Maybe videos as well but not a necessity.

visipics

Good to know, thanks user.
Sure I could do it manually but if there's good software that can help me then why not use it? Also not all 3D is PD.
I see, another user also reccomended this program, I'll give it a shot, I'll deliver for sure sometime tomorrow, could do it ITT if this thread is still alive by then.
Amen to that.
I'll look into that one too, thanks.

These better be freshman high schoolers at oldest

Middle school is best

Dupdetector has always worked for me

Run jdupes on both drives maybe.

> Ideally I'd also like a sorting program for photos as well
Hydrus also works fairly well for that.

Hydrus has both tags and image similarity filtering.

Note that you'll import the whole collection and it's running with hash-based filenames after that. Also note that your images may not yet have terribly many tags in the shared tag repository (PTR), you might mostly have to apply tags yourself.

Is jdupes hard to use?

For hydrus can I use it to make folders for my things or will I have to use hydrus to take advantage of the sorting . furthermore none of these things put anything online yes? I can use them even disconnected from the net?

imagine sniffing their buttholes lol

>Is jdupes hard to use?
No. Just the usual CLI utility with a lot of simple parameters.

> For hydrus can I use it to make folders for my things
It works on tags, any of which you can use as substitute for folders.

The actual ondisk format for the imported images is hash-based.

> furthermore none of these things put anything online yes?
Yes, it's not online. You can make use of a shared tag repository to augment your own tags, but that one clearly separated from the local tags and it works with a full local copy.

In case you want it, here's hydrus with it mostly pre-loaded; you can also add it later (due to it downloading update files in sequence, that takes longer though):

> I can use them even disconnected from the net?
Yes.

I'm very confused about all this I think I need to read more before using them or something. I have never used programs like this before.

It seems like I can tag images and then after tagging make folders for those tagged images, that is likely what I am to do.

What is it that you have preloaded exactly?

>those autists who maintain seriousness and discuss technology in midnight fapbait threads

have sex

Get raped and kill yourself, you retarded fucking faggot sack of nigger shit with down syndrome.

would if i could

> make folders for those tagged images
You can put file/folder names into tags on importing the files, there's a full UI for it.

You however don't make folders with this software, it manages its on-disk directory with a typical hash-based storage layout. The filename and location is determined by the file's hash.

>What is it that you have preloaded exactly?
If you're using tags from the huge communally created/maintained database, it's downloaded as "update" and queried locally.

I wonder when we will have enough technology to be able to smell through the internet
Just imagine
