Fake because Cascade Lake is already released and only supports DDR4

I'd rather have an $80 mid range Corsair case from 2012 than that, because PC cases were finally coming into their own, but for the time, the mac pro was awesome.

you might be able to bait your own, mr redditor, but you reposted that shit in the wrong neighborhood. literally no1 is taking the bait. kys and take applel with you.

Wait a minute, if it's 8x Thunderbolt 3, how can it support Thunderbolt 4?
If that were the case it would read 8x Thunderbolt 4 instead of 3.
Surely apple wouldn't be THIS dumb...right?

Which is launching this summer. You think that it's going to have DDR5 support, despite the fact that DDR5 hasn't even entered mass production yet, and won't until next year? What's your IQ, friend?
Michael Wilson
it says "Cascade Lake X", maybe these are custom chips specifically made for applel?
Lincoln Morales
Casecade lake already exists for the server market.
It uses at most DDR4 2933mhz for stock settings.
Casecade Lake-X is the HEDT consumer variant expected to launch in Q4 of this year.
I can't see them magically adding in DDR5 support for apple.
Adrian Cox
What is wrong with SO-DIMM again? DIMM is alreadly bad and saturated.
Also, this is fake af because AMD Fire Pro is a dead brand. Quadro RTX BTO wtf is this suposed to mean and there is literally no reason to use SO-DIMM because it is only used for space constrain and nothing else.
Christian Bailey
Yup, all that coupled with "8x Thunderbolt 3 with support for Thunderbolt 4" and DDR5 that isn't supported by Casecade lake.
Obviously fake.
David Davis
Hold onto your panties, faggots. It’s just a fan’s mock-up.
Cameron Lee
>Nvidia Quadro
>Implying
Apple explicitly threw out Nvidia. They've been preventing Nvidia from releasing their newest driver for macOS 10.14 for a year now.
It would make sense to use Nvidia cards since that is, as unfortunate as it is, what the professionals are using thanks to all the proprietary shit Nvidia has invented, but Apple isn't exactly known for making reasonable decisions.
Ayden Sullivan
>T2 """"security"""" chip

Oliver Russell
Looks fake and gay.
They know you want it back. They just don't care about your opinion. Apple has become very rich by selling non-upgradeable hardware and have no reason to change course now.
It's not hardware DRM. That's Intel's job. T2 is intended for:
>verified boot (by Apple, not you)
>forced online activation (sold as an anti-theft feature)
>making sure nobody can repair your Mac once it breaks

The IMC doesn't get completely redesigned for a different variant. Intel has never released Xeons under the HEDT variant either.

Trash can was designed for dual GPU and that setup became obsolete almost the same year it came out. There's no way they can redesign according to Apple.
Colton Allen

What? It's literally a smaller DIMM, so it can't fit the same capacity without going with larger more expensive memory chips.

Jaxson Clark
It's for the touch ID module, verified boot and it's an SSD controller
Nolan Gonzalez
>sodimm ddr5 > full slot ddr4 ram
yeah no shit. that wasn't even the point, to think that Intels new (((HEDT))) platform would sport DDR5 is just pure autism. DDR5 didn't even hit servers yet but somehow the heebs want to push it to workstations/mainstream, yeah not gonna happen
>mfw

why didn't Apple glue together their A12/A13 ARM chips and call it a day?
Dylan Smith
It's cute that they still try. #DOA

Apple is a shit company, but even I'll agree this old aluminum tower was an amazing design. Back in the day I drooled over being able to have one of these cases to use for my PC builds.

>I don't get why there are so many OEMs still pushing shitel garbage like it's supposed to be good.
Usurious monopoly contracts. Same reason PC OEMs have to "recommend Microsoft Windows" in their ads.
Grayson Russell
i want to live in the reality where apple remembers how to build these
Jeremiah Sanchez
As a 3D professional Apple needs to suck it up and have an Nvidia option for the Mac Pro.
3D artists need Nvidia cards for GPU rendering and real-time Raytracing. Also machine learning researchers need Nvidia for training.
If they don't have an Nvidia option the Mac Pro will be DOA for me and many other potential customers.
Austin Roberts
>no DisplayPort
Luis Turner
At least 2 of those don't require a magic Apple exclusive chip.
Gavin Edwards
And what reason do they have to be seperated?
That's like crying that qualcomm chip has the modem, gpu, cpu in 1 chip
The chip basically is for encryption, data and the touch ID fingerprint
Nicholas Jackson
The point is that it's just a shitty excuse for adding hardware DRM. Apple loves using """security""" as an excuse for this kind of bullshit, they have been doing it with iPhones for years now, like that time they decided to kill all phones with replaced screens.
Jason Carter
This is the Macfaggits swan song
A final x86 based system for the few remaining 'professional' Mac loyalists.
People who will still be using this thing in 10 years from when it was announced because it's the most powerful x86 Mac ever made.
Mac is transitioning to in-house made CPUs (ARM variants like what is in the iPhone and iPad). Mac is being slowly killed so that Apple can funnel all future sales into the iOS ecosystem.
Apple only pays lip service to the Mac faggits out there. They need developers and this stupid piece of shit computer is just enough to keep them from jumping ship until the development library is ported over to iOS/cloud based. Apple sells 10s of thousands of iOS devices for every one of these turds they will sell, and they prefer that profit and consumer lock-in. Mac is the last vestige of old Apple when they might have been able to honestly offer a compelling option.
Ayden Bailey
>hardware encryption is bad
It's a payment platform and your fingerprint and encrypts and handles your data on the SSD and your bootloader
The fuck you crying for, you'd be fine if your fingerprint was software protected rather than hardware?
Christopher Foster

Also majority people that use this things (Usually also laptop gaming) doesn't even know about the hardware and because intel succesfull propaganda those people only know Intel=good, other bad because they never even know about it.

It specifically says USB 3.1 gen 2.
Not to mention, the USB4 specification hasn't even been finalized and published, let alone making it's way into a product.
Brayden Ward
Joseph Johnson
TB4 is probably just a firmware update for the controller and works with the existing embedded chips on TB3 cables.
Brayden Clark
Wrong nigger.
That's an announcement, the specification itself is not yet finalized and isn't set to be until later this year.
Hell just read the article you linked retard
