You're buying the wrong brand, mate.

Soul

Boring and soulless

>not having a blessed PC

Horizontal case is best case

t. ayy lmao

Because their purchasing-base is made up predominantly of kids. ie, under-35s

because VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

>Why do modern PC cases all look like they came from a spaceship
Yeah a really crap spaceship from the planet clunk

Its why I have to buy Fractal but theyre not cheap

A spaceship with wobbly plastic everywhere

lol

>Boring and soulless
Also made of thick steel by a company that's been making cases for over two decades.

when they were cool back in 2010 I bought a HAF X case. still got it. I loved it for a couple of years but nowadays it looks boring, and too big. Your thread has made me think about buying a new case with a more modern look

what do you guys think of the Cooler Master MasterBox MB530P

Attached: Cooler Master MasterBox MB530P.jpg (800x468, 107K)

Looks nice in the back but it caught the gay at the front

the one on the right is real good shit

> what do you guys think of the Cooler Master MasterBox MB530P
fractal cases are much better

absolutely based

H500M is superior

>cases that degrade the intake fans to using undersized side vents just so they can stick a window in the front
>not a single optical drive bay
A handy summary of what's wrong with cases nowadays.

yeah I just had a quick look at the fractal cases and it looks to me like they are fairly similar to the MB530P, but I know fractal have had that look for quite a few years, makes me think you are right. The coolermaster looks like a fractal copy

>>cases that degrade the intake fans to using undersized side vents just so they can stick a window in the front
Literally a non issue
>>not a single optical drive bay
No one uses them anymore so it kinda makes sense. I would still prefer if they kept at least 1 just in case

OK for the last 7 years I have not used an optical drive even once, then about 3 weeks ago my GF asked me to burn some DVD's to MP4 - So I can see where youre coming from on that. Ironic that you mention optical drives, cos if this thread had been 4 weeks ago I would have laughed at your comment, now I'm not so sure

Literally an issue though. Front windows are fucking retarded when you can make the front a fine mesh instead and gain five degrees for cooling across the board.

>Why do modern PC cases all look like they came from a spaceship
Because their main market is edgy zoomer faggots

I mean the air will move regardless, I don't think it makes that much of a difference. Air doesn't exactly care which hole it comes through

I have precisely linked you actual measurements, and your argument is still "I don't think it makes a difference". Either gain information that's available and reconsider your viewpoint, or leave the discussion and live in ignorance.

Then I wonder what you'd think of 2010 cases

Attached: beautiful_custom_pc_case_designs_04.jpg (700x525, 63K)

My case looks very similar, and my computer is actually named Monolith in the network. Based Nanoxia Deep Silence.

Fucking mint.

Attached: 610_10.jpg (550x600, 75K)

How about a literal fucking spaceship for a case

Attached: spaceship.jpg (355x315, 12K)

2010=2011 cases where the shit
Airflow that worked
Expansion for days
Almost an infinite number of designs to choose from

>Airflow that worked
Those gargatuan fans were actually pretty underwhelming for their size.

>razor sharp edges everywhere
>non-removable backs and tops
>stupid trays
>nowhere to put the fans
>nowhere to put 2.5" drives
Big nope

Is this the cleanest looking case with decent airflow?

Attached: meshifyc.jpg (1000x1000, 82K)

It still has a fan in the most important spot that is almost non existent on today's cases
The side
This is why when gamers nexus decided to review the HAF X, it topped the chart in GPU temps despite being such an old design

>not wanting to perform a blood sacrifice every time you build a PC

The meshify C sure is nice looking for a sub $100 case

I think the System76 Thelio boxes have comfy, not-boring cases. Does anyone know where I can get a case with a similar aesthetic?

Attached: thelio-combined-1.jpg (645x363, 21K)

mmMMMMMM WOODGRAIN

Attached: C1MEqqxWQAABGzJ.jpg_large.jpg (2048x1152, 361K)

>blocks your PS/2 port
nothing personnel kid

It's what the young teens want user

Ask System 76 if you can buy one from them

Bring back Turbo buttons too.

They custom build the cases to a specific motherboards and do a real retarded job of it at that

What do you guys think of the Phanteks Eclipse P350X?

My only complaint is that it comes with only 1 fan.

Attached: p350x-7.jpg (1600x1202, 303K)

>PC cases
>not using a master race rack mount PC case
fucking zoomers

Attached: 41heeCN9ITL.jpg (500x375, 24K)

dat airflow

Attached: 1.jpg (852x480, 32K)

>Why do modern PC cases all look like they came from a spaceship

Are you still living in 2010?

While that looks cool and all, wouldn't opening the cdrom tray come really close to hitting the keyboard if you kept it that close ?

I took the best config...
I could buy half a house with that money

Attached: wtf.png (642x284, 20K)

Professionals don't build PCs anymore, nobody with taste does either.

>be a youtuber basking in monetization dole
>build an " a e s e t h e t i c " woodgrain shitbox
>still can't be bothered to bezel match the drives
kudos to him for being the only person alive who can pull of pedophile specs though

Because you're a retarded idiot. Kill yourself.

Because "Muh GAYming computer needs to be as badazzled as my butt plug"

>Doesn't have TURBO button

feel bad for you

Attached: turbo.jpg (375x500, 113K)

see

I'm not really sure what my own personal retardation has to do with the costs of computers coming down and their normie-fication filling the whitebox market with shitloads of dumbass gamer bros looking for a new flex, but okay.

Nop

Attached: r5 titanium.jpg (453x679, 17K)

I believe that tempered glass is the biggest fuck up with modern cases, especially ones that label themselves as gaming cases. they make open shroud GPUs run hotter from sealing the side which in turn reduces GPU boost clocks.

underrated post

It's not like the keyboard is glued to the desk, you know

quick reminder that Jow Forums is an SFF board

>tfw my first pc i built 5 years ago with one of these spaceship cases dropped less than 2 feet and fucking exploded plastic everywhere
NZXT a shit but so was my PC building back then

Attached: esplode.jpg (4032x3024, 1.85M)

They are marketed to kids and leddit numales.

alien technology

Attached: aya.jpg (1064x770, 63K)

I have a Fractal Design Core 1000, Nano S, R3, C mini, and recently got the S2 Meshify.

Work fine for me and I have some RGB in a couple of them just for looks and I like it. If I get annoyed by it I just turn it off either way, so yeah. Buy FD cases.

Attached: LIAN LI PC-CK101.jpg (2592x1944, 1.06M)

"Professionals" never built PCs at all. It was always enthusiasts, and its no different today except that there are many more of those as every young person today has grown up with tech, not so much the case for boomers.

Leddit numales would never buy anything like that. Leddit numales are too self conscious and sensitive to popular opinion to do anything that isnt seen as "gentlemanly". Leddit numales all LOVE the "classy" look like so many of you cucks these days do.

...have you ever taken the short bus to school?

leddit numales love the RGB meme because it's literal soi shit that appeals to them for some reason
colorful was and never will be "gentlemanly" or "classy"

if anything by your definition leddit numales are Jow Forums fags who jerk off over ""elegant"" designs of fractal ""design"" and think chinkpads are god's gift because of their lack of design

>Leddit numales are too self conscious and sensitive to popular opinion to do anything that isnt seen as "gentlemanly"

Attached: C L A S S Y.png (1190x888, 1.43M)

okay then
What is a good, modern, micro atx case with disc drive bays, no RGB or glass/window nonsense, and actually good fucking airflow

Attached: 1468149707828.jpg (960x380, 95K)

H700

It's a box with a window. Gamernexus found it's about as good as cases like the meshify C in cooling components

This thing is a huge pain in the ass to build in. It should have been about 8mm wider because it can't fit any 120mm tower heatsink except like the Cryorig H7 which is a piece of shit. Looks beautiful in white though

>if anything by your definition leddit numales are Jow Forums fags who jerk off over ""elegant"" designs of fractal ""design"" and think chinkpads are god's gift because of their lack of design
That is absolutely correct

How many of you actually use those front drive bays? Hardly anyone uses optical drives anymore but what about gadgets like card readers or extra USB connectors?

nope
also window sucks

Attached: fd.jpg (1139x1601, 314K)

The one you have pictured is obscure and unavailable, though.

I do for my 2 dvd drives and the front IO extension for my sound card
I also have a card reader in the smaller slot too, really handy desu

What's the best ATX cube case?

holy shit what is this case? Link/name?

No cup holder?

You're looking at "gaymer" shit.
You need to look at workstation cases

Attached: 51DZBuyfbNL(2).jpg (318x500, 38K)

Thermaltake urban t81
Big guy, modular, abundant airflow (but bad filters choice).
I love the suicide door, steel frame is a bit flimsy tho

The only irk with this case was it was designed during a time when CLCs weren't a thing, so I can't fit one into this.
Other than that I can't really think of a reason to change my case.

Full aluminium, user replaceable front panel IO. Fits EATX.
