They're great GPUs for cases where graphics performance beyond basic desktop usage isn't important.

You're retarded, the modern Atom cores have hardware decoders from their Intel Core derived iGPUs which does hardware decoding at very low power usage and CPU usage, they run rings around older CPU decoders

It's probably good enough for Quake 3 and derivatives, and it'll probably handle everything from the 90s just fine, as well as early 00s stuff.
Don't expect it to be much better than iGPUs with HDMI output, it's intended to be used as a video output upgrade for older computers.
