I've used TrueCrypt to hide my porn from my wife on the computer, (and more importantly ex-gf nudes) but I realized it's outdated trying to create a new volume.
So now there is this. What's the deal with this thing? Pretty much the same as before but no longer outdated?
Mounir has fixed all the vulnerabilities in the VeraCrypt code that were identified by the audit.
OP don't listen to brainlets like the dumbass above. Use VeraCrypt, it's more secure. It's based on the TrueCrypt code base, but has security vulnerabilities identified in the TrueCrypt code fixed. Plus it has other improvements like personal iteration multipliers.

I have no idea what most of that means, but I doubt my accountant wife would even know how to hack my truecrypt, or even knows that it exists desu.
what? tell me more.

Yeah. Sure.... You need NSA proof encryption for your "porn" that you're hiding from your "gf". OK

What kind of vulnerabilities are in truecrypt? I mean tc just encrypts shit according to cryptographic algorithms, what could you fuck up there? Either its encrypted or its not.
