Terminator, since it has basic functionality built in, unlike those others.

Kitty

Just use xterm, retard.

termite
> pragmatically minimalist (low resource footprint, but you don't have to compile in your own scrollback or colourscheme)
> nice config files
> works well under native wayland
> reasonably fast

i don't perticularly like luke smith as a person but his terminal build of st is by far my favourite.
It for all my intents and purposes my favourite terminal

Thanks, user. I'll give termite a go.

st + tabbed. I also have a little script that instead of opening a new terminal window, opens a new terminal tab, if an insgamce of tabbed already exists on the current desktop.
I still need to figure out how to deal with the tabbed window moving to a different desktop.

alacritty!

Termite!

xterm, don't be some edgy terminal autist

plus if you have x installed it comes by default, installing another terminal emulator is bloat

Tilix
Consider switching

>if you have x installed it comes by default
xorg-xterm is a separate package from xorg-server, at least on arch.

that's gay, x is a total package which includes xterm, xeyes, and so on

based

bloat

tilix is pretty cash desu desu, thx user

Konsole with tmux

I use Sakura essentially just because it has a Japanese name.

urxvt
only one that supports server-client configuration which saves resources when you have multiple terminals open

iterm2.

only thing i dislike about kitty is the font autism
>no bitmap fonts
>no subpixel rendering
>will never be added

Thankfully a good font still looks fine in it, but yeah... I agree, there are no *actually good* terminal emulators. Kitty is really decent tho.

>alacritty!
A bug galore that proves you just need to use Rust to make your software popular. Kitty existed before Alacritty, has GPU rendering and it actually works like it should, but of course Reddit doesn't shill it because it's written in C and python instead of meme Rust.

Kitty as primary, urxvt as fallback (because GPU accelerated terminals won't start if you upgrade proprietary nVidia drivers).

Yes
bloat, just use tmux

also termite-style exists so that's a plus

sway is fast and staple af, but wayland is too young to replace x for now

i tried awesome. kept crashing like fuck, maybe ill switch to just normal i3. i might use spectrwm tho because it's written in C iirc
