Hi Jow Forums,
I don't know anything about programming (I work in the healthcare area) and I have an idea that would be really useful in my job. It would be basically a website where I can register numbers and tiny amounts of information related to those numbers, like a database that me and my colleagues could quickly access.
Since I don't want to pay and I'm open to learn new things, what do I need to learn to build a website like that from scratch?

If you're too much of a brainlet to search "how to make website with database" yourself you probably won't be able to do it. But the answer is SQL, a programming language, html, css and shell to ssh into the server.

Why make a website? Just use Access or LibreOffice Base, it's lemon squeezy to create forms to input and access the data you want to record.
HTML, PHP, MySQL, and then you have to learn all the stupid PHP security procedures when using PDO or HTML form inputs in general (prepared statements, parameterized queries, making sure password_hash is using bycrypt not SHA)
Just use a shared google sheet and ctrl-F your numbers when you need them

best advice I can give you is not to get lost in details. just start learning. DO NOT start searching x vs y, why is x faster, because you will get too much info and get overwhelmed, like most of us do
What you want is SQL but there is a hell of a lot of database software already for the medical field, exactly what you want probably already exists.
