related question: can firefox sync be trusted? i have 4 computers that i use regularly for different things and it would be nice if all my browsers were in sync. i know jewgle has chrome sync but i really dont trust them as much anymore.

i have tested various nu-fox versions against 3.6, and can assure you that the peformance has only gotten worse over time.

Sadly decades old versions don't support modern web features that both mainline FF and Pale Moon support.

What's so wrong about Aero and Cleartype? It doesnt significantly increase resource needs. I use them both on laptops and desktop predating windows 7, P4 laptops handle them just fine. I'm inclined to think you just don't have your graphics driver installed.

It's talking about the Dissenter browser that blocks ads and tracking. You might be getting it confused with the plugin of the same name. Also you can open up a tor session in the browser, so there's no need to install tor.

I am. The only problem I have is that every now and then it has a gigantic fucking memory leak that will eat up all my RAM within 10 seconds, hang my system for about half a minute and then magically resolve itself. I'm not using any extension besides uBlock origin.

I was until the recent addon nonsense. That was the final straw for me. I decided to just embrace the botnet and use Chrome. It's pretty comfy, not gonna lie. Notably snappier than Firefox too.
