I'd be sad that a thread died for this, but it's Jow Forums after all. See you at Computex, can't wait for 12+ core 5GHz CPUs on the mainstream platform.

Attached: 1543448512572.jpg (1200x1553, 390K)

JUST FUCK MY 10NM UP

>12+ core 5GHz CPUs
That consume a kilowatt of power at full blast and require an industrial grade cooling system to keep from going supernova. Sounds great. Sign me up!

Attached: 1470006632285.jpg (884x704, 66K)

Sounds like you're describing current intel high end cpus.

At least it's not a chiller

It's not intel, the 9700k(elvin) has only 8 cores

Attached: 1557839587742.jpg (600x477, 146K)

>That consume a kilowatt of power
AMD already shown 3600X to consume HALF the power of Zen+'s 2700X. 3700X and 3800X won't be different.

Whoever made that image probably ran the old and new benchmarks (pic related) and conveniently removed that detail when he put the CPU names in the middle.

Attached: cpuz bench.png (822x413, 25K)

But they're all 17.01.64, though.

I kinda wish it were fake for the sake of the owners of the pozzed chips, but it's not.

Attached: 1544033677155.jpg (750x1000, 151K)

That pic is pretty funny but why is it trying to imply that jews aren't smarter and more educated than us? That's obviously not true, even (particularly) at Intel.

Attached: images.jpg (187x270, 7K)

>have 6 gorillion shekels
>still can't make 10nm cpus
wow why don't they just throw more shekels at it lol

No thanks, my CPU is soldered
My next CPU will be some ryzen, but only when this one breaks or will not be enough

They're losing market share on purpose because they're scheming on a much higher scale.
And the individuals are probably really smart, it's just the company restricting them.

>we're losing market share so we won

holy shit.

>M-MARKET SHARE DOESN'T MATTER!!

Are you retarded? The version number is in the pic and it's same.

It's not displayed there when I run CPU-Z on my machine.

Update it, then. You're being dumb.

It's the latest version, I installed it a few minutes ago.

Buying a 3700x is going to be the most based purchase of the century so far.

Even 1700x is still pretty based, 8c/16t for fucking $150

Then it's something on your side, I dunno.

I know. I just want the same thing but with a base clock speed over 4GHz.

THE FUCK

Is this the newest mitigation? Is it a Windows 10 update or movie firmware?

mobo*

Pic-related.

Both. Soft and BIOS microcode.

Ok, I'm not updating my bios then. Thanks.

You'll still lose. Even without HT disabling microcode, the performance loss for Inturd is still at least 8% (3% for AMD).

Up

Dont know why people go on bout AMD runs hot or they use so much power.

Since Ryzen, the cpus have been pretty power efficient and dont run hot.

Gpus on the other hand, well' youre not wrong there

Even the old AMD FX CPUs didn't run hot, alot of it was just memes and shilling, Intel had already made 130w i7 s on X58, hell they made 150w quad core penryn based Xeons for servers, but a 125w CPU from AMD is the end of the world.

I may have to retire my bby, holy shit.

is there an estimate date for zen 2? are this good memories for zen?
amazon.com/Corsair-2x16GB-3200MHz-Memory-CMK32GX4M2B3200C16/dp/B016ORTNI2

>is there an estimate date for zen 2?
7/7 is the customary date being thrown around.
>are this good memories for zen?
Who knows. For all we know, Zen 2 might not even be so memory sensitive anymore.

>CB score is 11 times my stock FX-8350
That doesn't sound right. From what I can tell, the FX-8350 usually gets around ~700 points.

Mine stock gets 650, some people get less because they have a 970 chipset, but I currently get 725cb at 4.5GHz, which is a good bit faster than 2200G but uses double the energy.

>is there an estimate date for Zen 2?
Launch at Computex, sells start in October. Same with Navi. THREADRIPPER Mark III (officially called THIRDRIPPER inside AMD) is December.

>mfw 8400 actually has 3 cores with hyperthreading

Attached: 1556477823155.jpg (1024x768, 59K)

It's 4 with fifth disabled and hidden HT.

>mfw it's 50$ more expensive and has worse/lower memory spec than Zen+ 2600

probably you mean 4 core with fourth disabled and hidden ht.
and half the threads

Attached: 1502831978496.jpg (700x565, 73K)

No, it's a pseudo-6 core where there is actually 4 cores, a fifth disabled, and a hidden HT on ONE core (the disabled one). Thus "6".

Some people bought a product and some unplanned outcome out of their power happend.

No need to haze the consumer.
Seriously it's every day with you people and it's getting old.

Ok... I'm trying to follow but that only adds up to 5 for me desu senpai

Attached: 1540002332835.jpg (1024x762, 144K)

Nigga we warned them when intel was milking 4 core 8 thread right up until RYZEN came out, we warned them about all the things on the don't matter list, and they still bought Intel, they deserve to get ripped off like the bitconnect people who didn't give a fuck when people told them they were being ripped off.

Oh no, oh NONONONONONONONO, Jow Forumsuyse, l00k @ 'dis ДO0D:

Attached: INTURD IS GARBAGE.jpg (1014x1680, 736K)

There are 4 actual cores.
Then there's a fifth one that doesn't work, but still physically present.
There's HT secretly enabled for that 5-th "unused core".
Diagnostic software and benchmarks see this POS as a "6 core".
It's a literal scam.

And that's 2600X's 5% and 1% lead respectively WITHOUT counting in the poozzing """(((mitigations)))""" and (((patches))) of Inturd's. Now add in the fact those cripple Inturd's already-garbage poorformance up to -25% on general applications and to -57% in MySQL and enterprise, and you'll get the full picture. What's even more hilarious about this, is that roughly 60% of Steam's user base bought this TRASH, according to latest info. Fucking Ponzi scheme of a pyramid scam. You HAVE to be an utterly brainwashed idiot and a total marketing victim to unironically buy this instead of 2600X or ESPECIALLY a cheap-as-hell 2600, nowadays.

Imagine waiting for a 7nm process trying to catch up to the performance of a 14nm process

>catch up to
You definitely managed to "catch up" by implementing such innovating features as MDS and RIDL, available exclusively for Intel products.

A 14nm process like the 9900K that outperforms ryzen while using a shit ton of power is still pretty retarded,

So it's a 4 core CPU
5th core reads as 5+6 cores because of hidden HT
neither 5th nor "6th" core are ever actually utilized??

It's just smoke and mirrors.

just delid and delap it

benchmarks mean shit when 90% of software runs like shit on ayymd

Name one reason why I should care about these obscure vulnerabilities.

my 2500k is ltierally unusable now, can hardly even open a browser.

Because alot of servers are Intel and we run our personal information through them.

>CPU that is an 8 core, performs like a quad core
It's the other way around. A 4 core that pretends to be an 8 core.

See, told you it's hard to quantify what the thing is, I call it either a dual, triple, or quad module CPU, depending on which chip you've got.

Because you're gaymen run on them. Your side you might not notice decrease, but devs and server holders are suffering great losses and financial costs, meaning that in the end you will suffer too because devs eventually would start jacking up prices to alleviate/counter the financial and performance losses.

good

They will jack prices for Server consumers, I believe that, but pretty sure Netflix can take a loss. As for game devs, they already do anything they can to monetize their product, if it's something like a multiplayer title with a shitton of microtransaction, so there is no difference there

GAMING servers, you DUMB fuck. Can't you read? It WILL affect your lame gayming sorry ass, kid.

Look, I'm sitting on 2600K OverClocked to a constant 4.8GHz in a 24/7/365 mode since the 2012, but you have to be a totally braindead idiot to not buy a 16 core Zen 2 and upgrade sometime in October (that's what I'm personally going to do). It's a fucking QUADRUPLE (and even more, actually) upgrade on all fields and fronts. IPC, PPC, cores & threads-wise.
