Why are they so fucking cocky?
Christopher Harris
Noah Gomez
they've developed an immunity to pesticides
Jose Roberts
The 90 days wasn't for them, it was for the US.
They're saying they're fine with letting us hang.
Jaxson Brown
Chinks are all about not "loosing face".
Grayson Ward
This and they are not full of shit.
If they publicly say they're ready, they are.
Jordan Howard
Have you seen EMUI? This will hurt them but they want to push their own ecosystem, hopefully they will be forced to do everything GPL'd to get help from freetard devs
Matthew Roberts
hmmm I don't know about that chinese companies are very shifty. They're are infamous for inflating financial numbers on wall street.
Anthony Powell
LMAO good luck convincing normalfags to use anything other than youtube/facebook/instagram/whatsapp
Justin Bailey
Because the people that run it will never leave China and don't have to worry about being arrested.
If they stepped foot in a western country they would be detained.
Gavin Cooper
Probably trying to save face. I don't see why people are so threatened by Huawei though, you can only get so far by just ripping off what's already very successful. This company will never beat out what people are already comfortable using (iphones and galaxies)
Robert Thomas
Chinks are always full of shit, you'd know this if you had ever dealt with them
Anyways from what I've heard this interview that all these quotes were pulled from actually had a much friendlier tone than the spin doctor headlines would indicate
Brayden Jones
Huawei's gonna need some ointment, FOR THAT BURN.
Carson Wilson
Galaxies are for ironic geeks and poor people who can't buy an iphone. Huawei and really any chinese brand would and will eventually dominated that marked. That's why they are so scared
Jacob Cooper
We're talking about the biggest telecom company of China that has close ties with the CPC.
It wouldn't be a hipster Mutt company losing face, it'd be the entire State losing face. They'd never allow that.
Ryan Watson
Galaxy Notes are unironically far more useful than any iPhone could ever dream of becoming.
Ian Ross
I agree with you, I'm not defending iPhone. However a true Jow Forumsentleman uses raspberry pi/dumb phone, and has preordered a Librem 5
Owen Martinez
m.huxiu.com
Full interview here for anyone curious, he actually goes out of his way to thank US companies and downplay any Chinese nationalistic action against them
Chase Ross
>m.huxiu.com
Thank you. This should be worth reading
Jordan Morris
This isnt humble
This is peak cocky
Huawei is going full beligerent
Nicholas Anderson
Why wouldnt they go on the front foot after such blatant disregard by the US for the principles of competition and merit?
Grayson Hernandez
He actually starts out by thanking and praising US companies.
Hunter Lee
>First of all, 90 days doesn't mean much to us. We are ready. The most important thing for us is to do what we can do. What the US government does is not something we can do.Let me take this opportunity to talk about it. We still have to be very grateful to the American company. In the past 30 years, American companies have made a lot of contributions along with the growth of our company and taught us how to walk
Yeah, peak cocky alright
Kayden Rogers
Maybe the word is confident
So confident he can praise his enemies without losing the high ground
Elijah Turner
Confidence should not be seen as a threat in this scenario.
Luke Sanders
They have the whole of the chinese government backing them. If you ever stepped foot in a modern chinese city you would realize how much money they have. For one just look at how many good security cameras they have. Most of their shit gets constantly upgraded to the latest $2K+ Dahua cam available
Luis Allen
>if wypipo do it ,it's confidence
>if asian, it's cocky
Grayson Johnson
Google is the cancer here, honestly.
Angel Nguyen
True
Lincoln Morris
Pretty sure we have those in America. Not as blatantly as the UK or China but traffic cams have been around for a while and we're only getting more of them.
Jace Kelly
Because they're chinks. There's a reason Einstein hated them.
Jayden Gray
because they know that weebs will shill for them for free on the web and will accept locked bootloaders and only two updates till they EOL that phone and move to the next handset in a year.
Cucks lick that shit up after the chinks nut all over the tray
Kevin Butler
same reason why china thinks they can bully other countries. and huawei is basically the online intelligence agency of the communist party.
Adrian Cook
>If they publicly say they're ready, they are
You're confusing them with asians that aren't complete garbage.
Nicholas Diaz
Based polite chink, desu he's just speaking the truth and internally they knew this is going to happen because nsa and cisco have huawei on the crosshair for over a decade now. Let's just wait and see how their fork of android is any good, if it's half way decent but without google out of the box, I'm okay with this.
Ryder Nguyen
It's all money those cities are loaning themselves with no regard for paying back. There's another bubble that's not as obvious as the housing one.
Thomas Gutierrez
youtube.com
holy shit. This man is a God walking among mere mortal
Owen Davis
maybe in commiefornia or NewOrderYork city.
Jordan Gray
wait, these phones have locked bootloaders? jesus christ.
i guess that's why oneplus didn't get sniped, probably because they don't make phones that are guaranteed to report telemetry back to the Chinese government
Logan Sullivan
if they put cameras like that where i live they would be spraypainted and torn down very quickly and i seriously question your status as an american
we got rid of red light cameras in my state because the state supreme court ruled that they violate the 4th amendment
Oliver Kelly
>Why are they so fucking cocky?
u mad burger boi?
Adam Rivera
They plan in decades. We plan in quarter profits.
Chase Morales
nah son. They changed the rule. Debts incurred by the current governor will stay with him forever even if he got promoted. That was counter the strategy of borrowing shit loads of money to bloat GDP of the cities to get promoted then let the next guy taking care of it.
The Chinese are truly visionary in governance.
Andrew Williams
And this is a significant difference.
Its almost like adults versus children
Jordan Butler
ching chong bing bong eats cat.
Gabriel Wilson
muh nigger suck cock thicc gangster based
Zachary Gutierrez
See:
>Its almost like adults versus children
Julian Perez
>hiding behind politeness
> giving bants about taking IP from American companies so they can "walk"
Brayden Moore
oneplus started out as a developers phone (1+1 1+2)
Standard unlocked bootloader and they became a higher end product later on.
Back in the good old cyanogenmod days.
Huawei started out as a chinker no name product that gained recognition as having decent hardware but literal botnet tier software but it was able to be reflashed so it gained a cult following.
Last year Huawei made it locked by default so you have to contact them to remotely unlock for a extra cost instead of just going into dev mode and fastbooting.
Cooper Brooks
You only see trees instead of the forest. The guy has survived the maoist purge, famine, cold war, and has now married his company to the PRC government.
The politeness you see is standard practice. Its not a display of kindness but rather standard practice. Its like a african person saying Hitler was a great guy because he wore suits. This makes sense in the African's perspective but the conclusion is certainly not one anyone familiar with western culture would make.
Blake Ross
>being this triggered
kek
Tyler Williams
people who have never dealt with, read about, or know anything about china or chinese culture.
i have no clue where this meme comes from because the chinese make most fortune 500 companies' board of directors look like stoics when it comes to their short sighted thirst for profit at the expense of reputation and return business
Camden Ortiz
Because China owns the fucking manufacturing process? because they actually create value with their goods instead of the idea guys in silicon valley?
Aiden Ortiz
>Last year Huawei made it locked by default so you have to contact them to remotely unlock for a extra cost instead of just going into dev mode and fastbooting.
Isn't there a way around this?
Blake Davis
Must save face for their Chinese Communist Party masters
Brody Gomez
What I like about this is how he thanks and praises US companies, instead of defaulting to cynicism about how they're just not willing to lose a valuable business partner, and you're here trying your best to discredit him.
Colton Bell
The 'walk' thing is probably only an approximate translation. Dont let it bug you.
Jack Carter
state backing
Brayden Hernandez
America is not as important a market as it used to be.
They get Europe, Africa, India, Asia, South America. Who gives a fuck about a measly 300 million people?
Dylan Kelly
>and you're here trying your best to discredit him.
That's how Americans compete.
By discrediting the opposition. Or going to war against them. Or declaring them a sponsor of terrorism etc etc
Xavier Rogers
It's communist propaganda. Anyone who knows Chinese history knows that there is no "long term planning". The communist party itself changes radically each time a new faction comes into power.
Nathaniel Robinson
literally the single most important thing in chinese culture is face. saving face. look up 'face culture' if you want a bunch of stuff to read about it.
the single most important thing in every situation is appearing like you are confident, in the right, and can disregard anything people say to you, even while they are calling you out for scamming them to your face
Luke Richardson
>Who gives a fuck about a measly 300 million people?
And a $20 trillion dollar economy. The US is still by far the largest economy on the planet.
Aaron King
>politeness is bad
t. Burger Clapper
Another walking stereotype.
Charles Phillips
That's because you're too stupid to see the entire message and immediately jump to whatever is the most pleasing to ignore the entire message.
When debt collector sends you a letter in mail, they start off with "Dear user" and end with "Sincerely xyz." Just as you've come to understand that debt collectors are not your friend when they use sincere and polite words, you should learn to understand that when the CEO/Founder of one of the richest/lucrative company with ties to communist government writes an official statement with sincere/polite language, you don't mistake it for sincerity.
Matthew Hernandez
>loosing
fucking nigger
Adam Foster
nigger politeness is a mask.
When a chink is polite to you cause you are nigger, they still thinking you are dumb fucking ass nigger an smell.
Luis Brown
americans compete by sheer force of domination
you're thinking of jews, which makes sense, because they ursurped the ruling class in america like fifty years ago
Hudson Bailey
dont they have control over a pretty big amount of a lot of country's network infrastructure?
David Clark
America is god, it one the three faiths, it will weave a web a lies about someone, and then through it's sheer control of destiny, it will make that person turn their lie into a reality, it happened to Cuba, it happen to USSR, it happen Guatemala, chile etc.
Isaac Phillips
jews=americans in business
Alexander Walker
Huawei was taking huge chunks of market shares from every brand. They made better phones, and they are cheaper. Apple underperformed because of the overpriced pieces of shit Xr, Xs and Xs Max. As someone who regularly change my phone and have tested about every high end mainstream phone there is, Huawei is way superior in the battery and camera department.
Nathaniel Jackson
The size of the mobile infrastructure market in an economy does not scale linearly with it's gdp bruh.
Kevin Flores
The whole reason Huawei got big is because they are married to the PRC's plan of self-sufficiency with regards to networking technology.
Ethan James
The US buys the most expensive phones (with the highest margins), that's not a market to ignore.
Nathaniel Butler
The irony is that the "Great Firewall" was built by Cisco. And as we know, Huawei stole Cisco's source code.
Joshua Morgan
This Huawei debacle has almost 0 to do with phones lad it's down to mobile infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Ian Campbell
Such as?
Nicholas Smith
And 5G deployment requires significantly more infrastructure than 4G. Still not a market a company would want to miss out on.
Caleb Taylor
>people aren't stealing these by the truck full.
Nathaniel Johnson
>If they publicly say they're ready, they are
are you 12?
Michael Jenkins
>theregister.co.uk
Thanks, I'll have a look
Evan Flores
Not sure if you know but China has an economy size of ~$27 trillion.
Yeah. The whole tech transfer thing was just a setup from the beginning. The hopes of a liberal China never happened. The hopes of China collapse never happened. So now the reality of a Gigantic China will continue to haunt America.
Gavin Evans
>Not sure if you know but China has an economy size of ~$27 trillion.
No, it doesn't. If you're quoting GDP PPP, even the communist party doesn't use that bullshit.
Carter Gray
CIA/World Bank uses GDP PPP to accurately predict economies of the world. Its accurate for judging the size of a country's economy and their military capabilities and how everyday people function. Nominal is only useful for currency trades and its not very useful metric to judge a size of an economy.
Jaxson Scott
>even the communist party doesn't use that bullshit
They have every reason to downplay the PPP because they do not want to lose WTO developing country status. They also don't want to lose the trade imbalance due to the difference in PPP as well as be seen as a threat by the US public. They artificially limit the Yuan from rising due to trade benefits of having a lower value nominal currency vs a higher value nominal currency.
Kayden Lewis
Which is absurd because a basic understanding of how it's measured points out exactly why it's a garbage metric. Basket-of-goods approaches are not a valid measure of an entire economy.
Samuel Kelly
The US has every reason to push it as a valid metric. They make a big bad enemy out of China to justify military action when China doesn't stand a chance in hell.
International media latches onto it because the "China rising" meme gets clicks/views.
Adrian Ross
The first comment here is interesting:
Real point here
"We have no real (at least not this in depth) assurance that products from rival vendors are more secure"
If, and it seems a good idea, that critical infrastructure needs to be secure against both back doors and crap code, then it should be a requirement that the alternative suppliers are similarly audited to show they actually do better. After all, it is not that Cisco have no history of both back doors and serious bugs needing fixed either...
Cooper Hernandez
you don't understand the scale of their surveillance until you actually go into a city. they might as well have cameras looking at cameras. go down the stairs/escalator of a subway entrance and you'll have at least 2-3 on the top and 2-3 on the bottom. Sometimes even 2-3 in the middle if it's long. they aren't garbage crap like the US has either. by the time you thought of stealing a camera every other camera in the area will have enough data to create a 3D profile of your face.
Anthony Ross
The fuck is your problem? I've only pointed out how he gives credit to murican companies for their success and you're here screaming DON'T BE FOOLED. Are you this much of a shizo you assume an interview given for domestic viewers as international propaganda and should be treated as such?
Wyatt Ortiz
Weibo is not linked to Google
Zachary Kelly
That's literally the opposite of the point of the post you're replying to. They save face at the expense of lying to investors and customers so that they don't appear to be in a poor position.
Justin Ward
Who cares? Just cut the power to the area, wear a mask, cut down a pole, sail off with it.
Ian Adams
>CIA/World Bank is wrong because I don't understand it
Okay
Jaxon Gray
That's because you're dumb. If you found a dollar bill while your house is burning down, you wouldn't be saying "oh I found a dollar bill, what a nice day."
John Smith
Most of those camera don't even work, if they do their software is shit.
Julian Campbell
>I don't understand what a basket of goods approach is
If you want a true measurement of the size of an economy, use what is called "real GDP". It accounts for inflation and other factors.
Landon Gonzalez
>Why are they so fucking cocky
Because other countries will just pony up to them and the USA is not as powerful as it once was so this ban doesn't mean much of anything.
Brayden Long
