Ah that makes sense. I did also read a post on reddit a few days ago written by someone in China. The poster said it's easy to get around the blocks but nobody does. They even claimed China could uncensor the internet and the average chinese person still wouldn't go on facebook or google or reddit since they actually like using the "chinese only" sites.
