Is this the comfiest non-mechanical keyboard?

Using an SK-8835 right now. I like it better because it has a numpad which I need for Dwarf Fortress.

it's too bad the bluetooth version only came out in nu-format

I fucking hate chicklets.

It's pretty good, although it took me some time to get used to the trackpoint position since I used to press the B key right where the nub is.

Yeah but are there any better wireless keyboards than this?

probably not

No

>WKL
Useless

My vote goes to the BTC 5140. Metal backplate, has a proper PCB instead of a membrane and the key plungers have stops that completely remove the mushiness at bottom-out. Plus the domes are quite tactile, and the keycaps are MX mount.
The Model M is mechanical, you dumb fuck. It uses a membrane, but the main actuation mechanism is considered mechanical. Unless you're referring to the rubberdome Model M, in which case you couldn't be farther from the truth. It's a lackluster board at best.

Isn't this mechanical?

I think it had buckling springs

Its both.

It's its own thing. It's technically mechanical because it doesn't have rubber-dome presses involved, but it isn't because it doesn't follow a switch style press, it's literally buckling a spring to activate a press. I prefer mechanical for ease of use, but buckling's just sound so fucking awesome (but the joint pain after prolonged use is really not worth the pay off)

not really

it's kinda shite to be honest, or is that the joke

>wanting to use laptop peripherals on a full sized desktop
Well meme'd, thinkpad keyboards are good compared to other laptops, but shit against any real keyboard.

Cause u a bitch

What's the comfiest mechanical keyboard?

Based and redpilled

is this the comfiest mechanical keyboard?

The comfiest possible keyboard would be that standard 101-key layout, but the capacitive buckling springs of the model F instead of the the membrane buckling springs of the model M.

That doesn't exist. There is a guy making new-build Model Fs, rather like Unicomp does for the M, but obnoxiously he steadfastly refuses to countenance making one in a modern layout, since it isn't authentic enough.

Im so sorry on your shitty taste on keyboards but try again next time.

Something full size with Gateron Reds or non muted Topre.

I've fallen for the model m meme

How do you survive without a modkey?

>clitmouse
Fucking disgusting.

Probably by using capslock as it.

>he still uses g4ymer keyboards with LEDs

Get some taste, faggot.

caps?

yes.

>stepped capslock
>shiftlet

Looks like Round 1 GMK Hyperfuse.

>he doesn't use stepped capslock with a window for an indicator LED
>he actually uses right shift

Same, specially when picking thme up from the recycling center for 2 bucks each

>still retains pause/break up/down page and sysrq and delete

Based.

swap fn + ctrl and it's omega shenron level based

>inb4 muh cancerous ansi return key

Unironically a late model Apple A1048.
> Built in USB 2.0 hub.
> Ergonomics and build quality great for a keyboard that can be had for under $10
The only real downsides I see are that using it on windows is kinda wonky and that it doesn't have a menu key.
Well you do get an extra F key in exchange so that's no problem if you remap it, but still.

recycling center? I thought they just took stuff

>he thinks anything with curved keycaps is ergonomics
lel

Eh, my point of reference are shitty office keyboards like pic related and laptop chiclets, I just get tired much later on that old mac keyboard than on those, I know it's not a real ergo keyboard.

Attached: 1558591805561.jpg (1156x1024, 112K)

In terms of tactile feel it's the same. In fact the chiclet version has more travel depth than the original board did

It's not like other chiclets, the keys curve in just like regular ones still

I have a dumbass stupid question

Does bluetooth keyboard/mouse like this only work within the OS? Or does it act like a mouse and keyboard in say BIOS and shit too?

Or is bluetooth pairing and shit only available when an os is running?

Comfy

Attached: jrqM6i4.jpg (2048x1536, 436K)

Probably needs the OS to pair unless it uses its own receiver.

This but unironically. You're all fags and I'm based

omg this clown had to show up. I know you are all idiots. He's probably your tech go-to guy.
