In Germany we have STRG printed on it for Steuerung (control), but a ton of people just call it STRING or STRONG.

Turns out SYS RQ comes from the MSDOS days before SYSTEM32, originally it meant System Resource-Query, and was a shortcut to the folder that kept all the system binaries. Kinda like the "Home" or "Internet" buttons on new keyboards.

When working on a feature, plan not only the code, but the release, integration, testing and staging process.
Have quantifiable success metrics for each stage.

I learned a shit ton about DNS, DHCP, NAT, PAT, how to analyze and identify tcp and udp packets and beginning to understand how all the protocols work.

Michael Keaton: All right, um, Number. See, because sometimes it helps to understand a word if we break it down. Let’s do that now, shall we? Numb, see, if you’re numb, you can’t feel. [ pauses for a second ] See, yeah if you’re numb you can’t feel.

Ctrl + arrow keys move the cursor to the end of the word. Alt + arrow keys move the cursor to the end of the sentence/line

how do you explain ESC being on the left but window closing cross on the right?

That's Ctrl+Shift+Arrow.

Pretty sure that's wrong, it stands for numpad. The num in numpad stands for number, but the num in numlock doesn't.

>Num Lock or Numeric Lock () is a key on the numeric keypad of most computer keyboards.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Num_Lock

That doesn't make sense, it doesn't disable numeric input, it disables the numpad specifically. But okay.
It still doesn't stand for number though, seems that it stands for numeric.

ESC doesn't close windows so who cares

Strrrg

pretty useful

Had this problem with Ryzen since new, but I could never find a solution until yesterday. Oddly enough, it only happened on Arch, Ubuntu has always worked fine.

i discovered "Caps lock" actually locks your characters in a capital position, rather than actually putting a lock on your cap

ctrl+shift+r is easier to reach without moving hand

This one fucks me up, because I pronounce the do in sudo differently than do.
