Want help?
>State budget & CURRENCY
>Post at least some attempt at a parts list
>List your uses, e.g. Gaming, Video Editing, VM Work
>For monitors, include purpose (e.g., photoediting, gaming) and graphics card pairing (if applicable)

CPUs based on current pricing:
>Athlon 200GE - HTPC, web browsing, bare minimum gaming (can be OC'd on most mobos with the right BIOS)
>R3 2200G - Recommended minimum gaming
>R5 2600/X - Great gaming or multithreaded use CPUs
>i7 8700/K OR 9700k - Extreme solution for absolute max FPS
>R7 2700/X - VM Work / Streaming / Video editing

RAM:
>Always choose at least a two stick kit; 2x 8GB is recommended
>CPUs benefit from high speed RAM; 3200CL16 is ideal
>AMD B and X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP

Graphics cards based on current pricing:
>Used cards can be had for a steal; inquire about warranty
1080p
>RX 570 8GB - good performance with great value
>GTX 1660 - standard
>RTX 2060 - high framerates (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
1440p
>RTX 2060 - standard
>RTX 2080 - high framerates (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2080 - standard
>RTX 2080Ti - better fit for 4K but expensive

General:
>PLAN YOUR BUILD AROUND YOUR MONITOR IF GAMING
>Don't bother buying a new monitor for gaming unless it's 144Hz with adaptive sync
>A 256GB or larger SSD is almost mandatory; consider m.2 form factor
>Bottleneck checkers are worthless

You mean in less than 24 hours.

>1440p
>RTX 2060 - standard

Would a 1070/1080 used be better? they can be found for 200/300 bucx respectively

who here 1660 ti?

Really up to you

Yep, I just copied from my file without bothering to update. The point is.. just waitTM

I live within 25 minutes of a Microcenter, hence I'll be using them for my upcoming Zen 2 purchase to get that sweet, sweet bunduru on an X570 mobo.

Do they do pre-orders for the bundle, or how does that work? This is my first time buying a CPU on launch.

Just purchased a 2070 and I’ve got a shit monitor. Any recommendations for something that goes on sale often?
$150-300 range.
I game and do art related work.
1440p, 144hz. Just needing the color not be all that noticeably different from camera to monitor.

Or any suggestions thinking I could do better with purchasing.

i just bought this for 60 bucks because I have an I7-6700 non-k (6th generation). i've been having ethernet/lan/wifi issues; never able to establish a connection with the internet, even with an ethernet connected. i'm guessing it's the motherboard, which is an old B150 Bazooka MSI.

before I spend $300+ on a new motherboard and a new processor (maybe AMD since Intel seems to be shitting the bed lately) I wanted to at least get a motherboard upgrade that can host my current CPU so I can see if that was truly the issue. and if not, we'll see about further troubleshooting or doing the upgrade.

please tell me if I made a good decision.
