Coffee makers are technology
What is your favorite coffee maker
>I did not know the cafetera was called a moka pot. Replaced mine, now it says "moka cafe"

french press

I boil the water with the coffee in an old pot and filter it through this shitty cloth filter. I don't measure anything.

FP is overrated IMO. For me it is the humble v60

This shit + hot water all day every day

Tedd approved

Looks like effort

should've gotten a SS Ikea one. aluminium is shit.

Italian caffetteria is the best but on the electric stove I wouldn't recommend it

Attached: downloadfile-2.jpg (1000x1000, 43K)

YOU NEED GOOD COFFEE BEANS!!

Typically better than fredmeyer, or winco or anyone sells. You can buy these hand-selected bean brands at natural grocery stores like the coop or natural grocery.

>cafetera
cafetera is spanish, are you a spik OP

You're probably over soaking the coffee making it acidic or bitter i don't remember which one.

instant coffee tastes like pure ass tho...

>caffetteria
caffettiera

I know, but it's cheap and still works
This particular brand also tastes "not bad"

cheaper than bialetti too

Su and yo bebemos al cafe?

Tu y yo bebemos al cafe?

Sure am. I just want the caffeine. Fucking hate coffee.

This but with the cheapest no-name shit i can possibly buy.

My go to is my Bonavita 1900
The convenience trumps everything else I own

My work provides free k cups and I feel stupid for not taking advantage of it because I don't like coffe.

then just take nodoz or something

Again. Really?

>6 cups
Mhhhh, might cop, but my electric De Longhi 2 cup moka is still alive and kicking

>warm zone
do americans really need to be told that?

They write this to protect themselves from lawsuits.

Shhhhh not yet.

Attached: 4E40EABE-EB43-46F6-A170-ADE84A576999.png (212x200, 17K)

Source of heat is source of heat. Coffee doesn't care.
Yes. Cuban breed, specifically. Russian wife as well.
Pic? Too lazy to look it up
Warm zone is for keeping a pot or something warm. You can't set the temperature or anything. It isn't for actual cooking.
I use it for keeping pasta sauce warmed up, for example.

Pic related + 2 teaspoons of turkish (black) coffe + sugar if I feel like it

Attached: Dzezva-1.jpg (380x380, 9K)

you hate coffee because you're making it wrong and it probably makes ur body not like it too since it's so bitter.

Coffee is really cheap, even at $10/lb. Just put a bunch of high quality coffee in the strainer and pour boiling water through it, m8. Don't boil it with the water.

If you quit letting Americans live in your head every second you’ll realize the “Warm Zone” is a low power section you can put cooked food on to keep it warm without cooking it further

based dad, i swer its the same person shitposting all these rent free posts.

Best coffee makers ever.

I cannot be arsed to make it with mokka pot so i either drink instant or brew in a jezve.

Anyhow
Cappucino machine>Mokka pot>jezve>instant>shit>french press>dripper

Drippers are atrocious,
I have a dripper at work and I prefer energy drinks or a coca cola with a yohimbine pill when i need a real fucking kick.

I've tasted coffee many places made with many methods. I really disliked the taste of them all, unfortunately. So I stopped caring. But I'll go back to putting the coffee in the filter, the boiling is probably making it worse than it needs to be.

Not every mokka pot is good.
I have one of the fancy french ones 10 cups size for my large cup and it doesn't fucking work right, at least half of th water always stays inside.

>Drippers are atrocious
It's a gamble: some are great and some are horrible.
But people also don't know how to make coffee and blame the machine.
And people also use stale pre-ground garbage and somehow expect it to taste better than shit.

I have an espresso machine
Is that equivalent to a cappuccino machine?

this here danish french press named brazil.
best cost/benefit ratio.

>You're probably over soaking the coffee making it acidic or bitter i don't remember which one.

Over-extraction makes it bitter.
Under-extraction makes it acidic.

Boiling is always a terrible idea, as are dark roasts.
It destroys the nice flavors and just leaves horrible bitterness.

There is no such thing as a cappuccino machine.
Cappuccino is an espresso with steamed milk.

He probably means a full-automatic espresso machine.
I really dislike making cappuccino with any espresso machine because of hygiene reasons.
IMO it's much better to prepare the milk separately in a dedicated milk foamer you can wash easily.

Memepress represent.

I typically make one big cup with it for breakfast since it's fairly quick and effortless.

Attached: AeroPress_System_grande.jpg (600x398, 17K)

French press but while in Italy I tried a moka pot in the apartment I had and then bought the same one at a market later in the day, still on said trip so haven't gotten a chance to use it
Overrated does not mean someone likes something you don't, in addition it's easy to screw up if you don't know what you're doing so people try once, fail and write it off

I have Aeropress, Kalita Wave, V60 and Flair. For grinder, I have the Fuji Royal R220.

I probably use the Aeropress the most followed closely by the V60.

my mememan

AP is flexible as hell, that's why I use it the most. You can make chocolatey, heavy-bodied coffee or light, fruity one just by changing grind size, lowering temperature and stacking filter papers alone. Very consistent too.

Everytime I see one of those I'm reminded of my dad. He told me that, when he was a kid (in the mid 1950s), he had an aunt -on his mother's side- that always carried one of those around, so whenever she felt like having a coffee, she loaded it with water, put the grounds on it, placed it on top of an open fire -either on a stovetop or she made her own little fire with logs- and, when she could smell the coffee, drank it straight from it.

Obviously, my dad being an impressionable kid, thought he would try that. He burnt his fingers and, since then, wondered how the hell her aunt managed to drink her coffee not pipping hot, but boiling hot.

>Fuji Royal R220
>$450 for a coffee grinder
what the fuck

Least amount of fines produced, the best for my intestines...

I think where I live this brand of instant coffee is even more expensive than most normal coffee.
You can get some no name coffee for a few bucks and it lasts weeks. I really feel that people who drink instant coffee lower their quality of life for no good reason. But if it works for you that's fine I guess.

Coffee with milk*

Nothing can beat this.

What does Jow Forums think of pod coffees?

Quite the assumption there. I have made french press properly... bloom, stirring and all. And I find it inferior to the proper pour over method. Also I see more people rave about FP than it warrants.
Pour over enhances the higher notes. I find. That is my preference.

This. Unbloat your coffee system. Do it. Now.

I have a 400 euro grinder and wish I went for a 600 euro model instead.
When you make espresso the grinder is everything.

cheap Instant coffe beath that

>Boiling water in plastic and drinking it
enjoy your gyno

>being this plebeian
holy shit, i live in the fucking 3rd world, the place were Escobar was born, we got people killed everyday but we do not drink that shit.

I'm a french press dude and I agree with you.

My grandma was insane and drank boiling coffee
It's something about the older generation. They just are insane
Cafe con leche. 3 table spoons of sugar in it.
American coffee is just flavored water

This shit tastes exactly like diner swill.
Maybe every diner I've ever been to serves instant and pretends it's brewed.

based

>sugar
>not condensed milk
pleb

Haven't tried pour over yet so I'll concede on that, but I occasionally go on /ck/ for the coffee general and most of the people shitting on the press were clearly using it wrong

>mfw had to stop drinking coffee because my cholesterol shot through the roof

Attached: 1558600650322.png (460x460, 429K)

Anything beats that. I introduced my redneck father to a french press and he loves the thing.

I just buy cheap shit coffee percolators now since all the expensive meme coffee makers just break within a year, or two.

>glass top coil electric
>can't get to the element with an extinguisher when it shortcircuits and starts spewing white lightning
What marketing genius came up with that one?

Nice!

You cut the power and boom.

I have one of those and can't make moka pot coffee without burning the shit out of the coffee grounds

Attached: nyoron.png (223x184, 47K)

>Coffee makers are technology

hardly retard. it's more of a thing.

Nah. Coffee maker threads are actually unironically Jow Forums.

this, but I drink the freeze dried one instead. the spray dried ones like that have a funky taste.

This, except I get Nescafe Gold and mix it with condensed milk

Any one else just gets bulk Maxwell houses, and call it a day?

Drink tea

>Tosses tea in the river
1v1 me.

My cafetera was handed down to me by my grandma. She brought it from Cuba. So yeah, I don't know about these new ones. Only got a new one cause the wife broke the handle on the old one, and the metal bit inside where you put the grounds was bent since I was a child.
Just cut the power dude. It's electric fire. Don't do anything before cutting power.
Lower the temperature and pull it off before it finishes boiling
They make WiFi ones now

*blocks your path*

Attached: w1200_6889_FrenchPressvsEsproPress.jpg (1200x675, 58K)

no, they unironically aren't unless you're throwing some kind of microcontroller in it and making it do something.

>no, they unironically aren't
Lurk for 2 years newfag

Pro tip:
Don't buy this for the office. The chucklefuck from the mailroom will ruin it for everyone, and the only thing that save your company is the drug test.

Attached: 91ylpIrV3WL._SX425_.jpg (425x368, 22K)

>he doesn't drink straight green tea with 100% tannin and caffeine content
Come back in 10 years

what's the difference between gold and the taster's choice? is it really better? the original one is ass though.

just because retards were making shitty threads for 2yr doesn't make it Jow Forums

I have the espro one too. It's pretty great, tastes good, about as convenient to operate as it gets and filters a large portion of the cholesterol raising fats out (no crema though).

>Drinking weak shit during crunchtime, and you got to audit a few thousand lines of h1b, or diversity hire code.
I'll stick to coffee fren, and leave the tea for the bitches in hr.

how strong do you like your coffee, Jow Forums?
for me, it's got to be as strong as possible

>Coffee makers are technology
nope, go back to /ck/

>2 years
The occasional coffee/espresso thread is a Jow Forums staple you gayshit redditfag.

Just take caffeine pills then?
There are dissolvable pills

Same I like to dump a couple extra tablespoons in the percolator, or double up on coffee bags when it's my turn to make coffee.

cawfee

Attached: 2.jpg (1280x720, 120K)

Why take caffeine pills when I could just drink coffee?
