Tfw fell for the EE meme

>tfw fell for the EE meme
>get cucked on wages compared to CS
>get cucked with a harder course

wtf are you talking about
electricians make $80k out of apprenticeship

this, pretty sure EE grads are making much more than the average CS codemonkey

>got memed into cs
>wish I were doing EE
the grass is always greener on the other side...

CompE niggas roll out

>ee
>cucked on wages
Honestly how do you fuck this up?

>>get cucked on wages compared to CS

ya, but those "wages" usually correlate with the upper eschelon of candidates and also they lived in cucked places like Seattle, San Francisco, NYC, etc.

CS undergrads make 160-200k starting in Bay Area.
As a EE PhD I'll probably get to this in 10 years.

At least you aren't competing against billions of code monkeys from India and China that will do your job at minimum wage in a large city.

>bay area
enjoy 10k rents for shitboxes and 1k on groceries weekly

why are you not on hardware development?
that whole field scares cs people away most of the time

Where do you think EE jobs are located (at least IC design)? Same places as CS jobs, they just pay 30-50% less.

Not true in the UK

>EE
Should have done based ME

at least you can shitpost on Jow Forums with >software engineer

> Not learning CS on top of EE
> Not earning +500k on software-hardware co-design consultancy.
Are you trying to be poor on purpose?

>not learning welding
>not earning +3m a year on an underwater oil rig
Are you trying to be poor on purpose?

>started out as comp eng
>couldnt even pass engineering calc 1 (which is diff than regular calc 1)
>had to drop out

>fast forward like 7 years
>become a webdev, 0 math skills needed
>38k starting

We are all gonna make it.

>on an underwater oil rig
As if anyone would let you go near that thing.

Based
>tfw only need to learn the easiest parts of EE and skip all the complicated semiconductor physics black magic bullshit
>tfw better at coding than CS majors from being conditioned on low-level hardware, which requires efficiency and attention to detail
>tfw computer architecture is the coolest subject on the planet and know more about hardware than Jow Forums-tier consumer level specs and hearsay, can even design a basic processor in an afternoon
>tfw know how to make any kind of gizmo i want

>>tfw only need to learn the easiest parts of EE and skip all the complicated semiconductor physics black magic bullshit
holy shit this
