How many here have a Ryzen CPU?

Surely there are no intel users here.

I'm getting me a mltherfucking 3900x I don't give a shit what it costs, and is in a position to charge 800 dollar because performance king and its still the same price as an 1800x

This is FXing serious.

I have an i5 3570k, planning on getting a ryzen 9 and navi gpu soon

>tfw 26000k
sucks to be a third worlder

I remember a couple of years ago, I had a 3770k intel CPU that was pretty good for a few years.

Did my research and worked out Intel was pulling wool over my eyes back then.

Switched to Ryzen and had all the shills tell me you don't need more than 4 cores, IPC on intel will never be beaten, you made a shit purchase, ........ etc.

It's crazy how they believed that shit and now look what's happening.

went full ayymd back in 2017, big mistake.
Should've gotten the r5 1600.

Have a 2600x and a rx580
But thanks to all of you subhumans shilling amd and spreading lies and the most retarded shit i want to change my setup to not be associated with you niggers

Dual sandy bridge Xeons > any ryzen

That's alot of power usage though, but it is alot cheaper with how much multi core you can get.

True. Perfect for a poorfag like me though. Ram was cheap too, I got 32gb ECC for $45.

Still using AM3+ shit. Totally gonna upgrade to Ryzen 3 in about a year.

Attached: neo.png (500x349, 11K)

Feels good. Waiting for independent benchmarks of Zen2, if the single core performance improvement is really that good, I'll probably get a 3900X, hopefully it helps with HDL synthesis/implementation times.

Attached: 1527608592922.png (444x378, 113K)

Hey, FX still worked quite well and competed with the 2200G, but the ryzen 3000 65w 8 core and that 105w 12 core are delicious.

I want better single core performance because TF2 is an unoptimized piece of shit and I refuse to move on from it. It's literally the only reason I would even consider upgrading.

Yeah the single core performance of FX is a shame, I'm overclocked to 4.5 on a Gigabyte UD3 board, and I once had an MSI 990FX GAYMEN board with your same VRM and I couln't get to 4.4GHz even with 1.45v because the VRM is so poor.

how do i check?

i wish i wasn't scared of overclocking

Fite me

r5 1600
Wanted to switch my b350 pc mate to x570 + 8 or 12 core zen2 and overclock to 5 niggahurtz, but since AMD is sandbagging I guess I'll only slap something like 3600X or 3700 into my old board. Will wait for benchmarks though.

Zen 3 will probably replace my 2500k.

At least you can OC it.
I'm stuck on i5 3330 until 7/7.

Who Ivy-E + ME_Cleaner here?
Somehow after the ME_Cleaner the clock is locked at 3.4GHz, but that may be due to a broken XTU installation

Attached: 4930K.png (1155x647, 153K)

if you run me_cleaner you probably cant oc cuz no Intel Clock Control. ICC is part of ME.

Attached: ry3.jpg (407x403, 51K)

how much for a rizen 3000 ready motherboard ?
i have some am2 bs possessor

I'm selling my R5 1600 (does 4GHz at 1.402v) i'm gonna get the cheapest Zen 2 8 core lol.

Just try to get the max frequency you can without increasing the voltage if you're that scared.

By 3000 ready you mean ootb? Who knows. Would be cheaper to update bios in older mobo anyway. Apparently all mobos except a320 (oem mobos for bristol ridge) will support zen2.

not me

I'm not a poor fucking spen

Attached: cpuz_NudPbnGnwO.png (417x419, 45K)

so anything that is am4 and not a320 should work?
probably gona ubrage when they come out then

Attached: dump.png (844x443, 347K)

I gave up on overclocking because I couldn't get a stable system even at 3.8. It's waste of time anyway as performance gain was minor. If anything, overclock your RAM. It matters much more than core clock in 1st gen ryzen. I play hunt showdown with a friend who has 8700k and we have pretty much same fps in stock when not limited by GPU.

How about idle? Now the 4930K only runs at 3.4GHz and not lower (down to 1.2GHz) nor higher (turbo to 3.9 on paper)
Don't mind the non-overclockability much, but is Turbo boost also blocked? It's 3.4GHz (full stop) from the tests ran.

>so anything that is am4 and not a320 should work
Yes but if it's 3xx or 4xx board you need to make sure it has the latest bios. It will still depend on a vendor to deliver bios update, some might not provide one.

I have a Ryzen 2600 and it works pretty great with iommu GPU passthrough.

Nothing I'm unable to run yet at over 60fps.

whats going on in this thread, third worlders?

Attached: cpuz.png (1198x402, 63K)

I have an i3 8100.

Was thinking of upgrading to an i5 9400 or a 9600k.

My laptop has a 2500U. Unfortunately my desktop is still deprecated, but I'm waiting for you-know-what.

Attached: Speccy.png (492x285, 15K)

How can you be "scared" of overclocking? Overclocking Ryzen is as simple as changing two numbers in the BIOS. Set your core voltage to 1.35V, your multiplier to 37 and congratulations, you have a stable overclock with literally no possibility of damaging anything. Then keep bumping up the multiplier by 0.5 until it's no longer stable, at which point you back it down by 0.5 again and enjoy.

Went full AYYMD with the launch of Ryzen and Vega.
Don't regret it at all, but I can't wait to upgrade to a 3800X. My Vega 64 is a unicorn sample and I put a morpheus on it, so I should be golden with it for a while still.

kek.

Stop using speccy.

>congratulations, you have a stable overclock
Except it may not be stable, but yes, damaging anything is next to impossible.

No.

Nevermind, after a simple restart it works again. Even overclocking. Of course, ME is still disabled

how's it feel to be using DDR3 speeds with DDR4 ram?

plebs

nice non-K processor fag

>tfw actually witnessed niggas buying locked 8700 and Z chipset while shopping at microcenter

It's a mini ITX case (RVZ02), I would'nt OC a CPU in this case even if I did have the power ceiling (Corsair SF600 plat PSU) to do so, the 8700 is already overkill for my workload

>2900 mhz
>2494 mhz

lmao youre cpus running so hot you have to underclocked and undervultaged thems

plebains plebs u should have gotten 1HP chiller

well that's not me :)

I do. R5 1600

>literally one second from a screenshot

Good one, third worlder

Attached: cpuz_mGjGnLHabK.png (417x419, 38K)

Smart user, nothing wrong with a locked SKU if your board is cheap, because running an overclockable chip at stock speed on a Z390 or something is also wasteful.

le triggered arent u
>non k cpu
LUL3D

non K CPU and an absolute silent PC instead of something like a 2700X and having a space heater in my room, even when undervolted lmao

FeelsGoodMan

>powerconsumption
>more = better

kek you are bottlenecking your system with that ram

Happy user of a 2600x and Im planning to get a 3700x/3800x

>i7 8700
>not poor
OH NONONONONo
Ahahahahhahahahahhaahhahaa

>n-no your CPU runs hotter not mine

can any ryzen user share how much their computer draw power idle

>have such shit cooling he cant run a 250w spaceheater without noise

literal poorfag

The silicion forms a photo cell and with help of my rgb lights it actually injects power back into the system

Clear your desk faggot

r5 2600
wish i bought some 1st gen 4c8t and 1050/ti so i could wait out till matisse and navi came out and bought those without feeling like i wasted money. This anus board was also a mistake as it doesn't even have overclocking in bios, have to launch the ryzen master for it. If i can sell cpu and gpu for £80-90 each i'll be happy

> junk lord running a junk rig
You're proud of your situation..?

tfw poorfag and corelet

I know dat feel mane stuck with i5 4670

Don't worry, even if you upgraded to a R5 3600X you'd still be a corelet.

1600x reporting in.

waiting on new 3700x reviews, or else im jumping ship to 9700k

Release the child.

Should I get a 2600 now since it's around 135 at the moment ?

Running with a Vega 56.

FX-6300 here. I'm in no rush, FX isn't a beast but it has modern enough instruction set to not cause any issues with modern software.

Waiting™ for 7nm(7+nm? 6nm?) APUs, next year I hope.

Eh or on second thought, perhaps some low-end Navi + R5 3600, why not.

could more people do something like this?
especially intel/newer ryzens

i find it retarded how you all scream about power efficiency but noone fucking does benches

2600x bro

paired with an rtx 2080

Attached: Annotation 2019-05-28 083542.jpg (419x426, 70K)

I have a 2600 with a RTX 2080 and it's painful how I'm bottlenecking the card

I was very close to buying a 9700K but now that AMD seems to have delivered I'll just pick up Zen 2 after the first REAL benchmarks

I have an ultrawide 1440p monitor that i game on and i don't feel like i am bottlenecking at that resolution.

Fully plan on upgrading my rainbow puke machine to ryzen 2 though

cant wait to replace my 2500k

Why tf would you buy a 9700k

There will always be a bottleneck depending on the game and how much more it relies on the CPU over the GPU and vice versa. To cap out a modern day CPU however requires a pretty CPU intensive game.

Using only this laptop since my pc shat itself a few years back. Hopefully, will build a ryzen pc soon and this'll be the last incel hardware I'll own.
