>loads of STEM jobs will soon be unfilled! We are desperate for STEM workers! Just pick STEM!
>apply for junior position
>"min requirement PhD in CS and applied physics"
>"please take this 8 hour on site exam"

hardcore inceldom

my first job was to sit at a computer at type ./run_script into a unix shell every 30 min. Then it just went downhill from there.

memed and cuckpilled

>falling for the coding meme

>not getting into superior networking career field

It was easy, and I'm lazy. Now I make 6 figures working from home, and I don't even have a college degree.

This guy gets it

I kinda didn't know what school to choose next, so I decided to follow my friends.

Yeah sure, network """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""engineer""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

The clear distinction between competence of peers.

When I realized the only women I was ever going to be able to put my penis in were at least 20 IQ points below me I gave up on life and started obsessing over electric toys.

Programmed since I was eight. Loved it. Was idiotic enough to think a career in tech would be "this, with money."

Call it whatever the hell you want, I'm getting paid for browsing Jow Forums at the moment

>Everyone here uses off sight network engineers
>They lose as-builts for their Network as time goes on
>Constant issues crop up because stuff is just added without a plan
>Refuse to hire people inhouse
Network engineers are only viable as contractors

fellow zoomer

I'm autistic, and it's a common stereotype that people like I would be good at this.
So, after virtually flunking my physics degree, I honed my skills on /dpt/ over three years of unemployment and landed myself my first ever job.
It's less than minimum wage, but who cares.

i thought i was good at it because i come from a third world country where half the population don't know the difference between 4gb and 6bg ram. then i met people who actually were good and realised how much money i could make by running back to my country and becoming the IT god of some company before getting ousted as a fraud when the next 2 generations after take over

just like you i also want to move out of india ms pajeeta

People specialize, people need those who can span various areas of specialty. That is IT. We know where and what is needed, we will fight you to the death on stupid choice but if annoying enough we will let you fail. That is the IT way of doing things. Have emails to prove otherwise? We control the servers, we control the emails, we control the backups. They will backstab and lie at a moments notice, our job as IT is to be ahead of that.

>be me
>onsite interview for high level engineering position
>prepared to do shitload of whiteboarding and tough interview questions
>get to interview
>shoot the shit for two hours and get offered the job on the spot

Feels good man.

Let me give an example of my work history.
>fat lady
>hugely fat lady
>would have killed people before getting to exit fat lady
>caused tons of shit
>caused tons of shit to woman under her that was a complete solid employee
>didnt show up for days at a time, sometimes weeks
"I was working from home"
>COO and HR asked if I can verify
>Logged every VPN connection her PC made, Every time her phone and laptop connected to work email. Printed in a nice report.
Fired that day.
Felt good.

you can't really BS through any calc or diff eq. I did BS through linear algebra somehow though. still have no idea what an eigenwhatever is.

and it's the most useful class for computer programming including actual computer programming classes
