Also, Windows Defender keeps displaying advertisement for other Microsoft service - OneDrive - misleading naive users that it's a security feature, while it's just an advertisement to pay for OneDrive (pic related).

That's not true, "Security Center" Modern UI is not needed for third party AVs to work, it can be removed with DISM, it's an appx package called SecHealthUI and it's a whole package containing not only the "Security Center" UI but also Windows Defender with all of it's dependencies, i always remove it from provisioning in the the install.wim offline image prior to installing Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019, then i install Kaspersky Internet Security on a fresh installed OS and it works fine, the SmartScreen package can also be removed, it's completely useless just like Defender - SmartScreen blocks some of the russian warez sites i use, not because there is anything malicious on them, but because it's piracy and Microsoft is apparently butthurt.

Use ESET at home, zero complaints.
At work we used Kaspersky, but switched to BitDefender. Not that KS's detection was bad mind you, but because it would regularly break everything we had set up.
