it was the way the ads used
If I like your shit I'll pay you.
3rd party ads. Installing drive-by malwares since 2002.
Why not use noscript or block that element so you never see those messages?
i use my hosts file :^)
remember when ads used to just give your computer AIDS and that was just considered a normal part of using the internet?
Yeah I don't miss this shit at all.
Why not close the tab? A website like that isn't worth going to.
Nearly all the websites are like that now.
Would you close the tab on this one?
forgot pic
lol. Nothing to hide nothing to be afraid of go- boy!
What they call “ad-blocker,” I call surveillance protection.
If people want to show advertisements, they're free to self-host them on their own servers.
That's this site, btw.
k
NOT OK
remember when people created sites for recreation and fun and paid for it themselves?
>Yeah I don't miss this shit at all
nobody does. i've used adblockers ever since they were first introduced into browsers. fuck that shit. if people want money, they should set up a patreon / gofundme / bitcoin wallet and cut out the shitty ad networks. sites displaying these anti-adblock messages is the lowest form of e-begging right before camwhores on twitch.
>remember when people created sites for recreation and fun and paid for it themselves?
hi, i'm one of those people. nice to meet you.
money i've made: $0
cost of hosting: dirt cheap
amount of fucks given to make any money from my site: 0
i'd rather have nothing that use some shitty fucking ad network like google or whoever else. i would never want to expose my users to it. they'd think the sites were hijacked and i died if ads were to appear. lol.
>not interrupt your visit with intrusive advertisements
Advertising is inherently intrusive.
>creating pay walls
This is literally my dream come true. The internet would be so much better this way.
