even in an unrealistic scenario where a modular computer gets released by the most walled-garden and gay company on the earth - it will be made up by some weird proprietary shit that can only be bought from apple, and *maybe* in a year or so - from some (((authorized dealers))).
This already happened - see SSDs in any macbook ever since 2011 - so screencap this.
hackintosh on Intel® NUC™
At this point all im hoping for is a retina display without thick bezzels on their iMacs or standalone displays.
And the removal of T2 chips so i can install Loonix on it.
Apple has already announced that it's coming in 2019, along with a new monitor.

how much of a failure was that black dildo mac pro for apple, they had to manufacture every piece to fit that stupid shape. what a mess that entire operation was.
It's going to be a more expensive think center.
>modular computer
Never thought about that before
>we're proud to announce the new mac pro, featuring new t3 chips that will enhance security on your device, its built into our new modular cpu design so you need only change the module to change the cpu and the ssd is soldered to the cpu module for your convenience! so brave!
Back to your containment board manchild.

I have a feeling the "modular" Mac Pro is going to feature:
MxM/Non-standard GPU cards that are "upgradeable" and "modular" in only the loosest terms.
Regular Intel CPUs and Socket, but with such a piss-poor cooling solution that the top end of what fits in that socket is just going to choke and die. And no OCing
"Upgradeable" SSD featuring embedded T-security chips, only available for purchase from Apple+"""Authorized Dealers"""
ECC RAM that'll be reasonable to buy replacements for, which every macfag will say "BUT THE RAM IS TOTALLY STOCK AND STANDARD, SO YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY THE HIGHER SPEC RAM OFF THE BAT!"
Thunderbolt 3 for everything else.
Some Thunderbolt 3->PCI-E enclosure from -APPLE PARTNER COMPANY XCX- that they're going to pretend is the rest of the solutions to your problems.
No PCI-E Storage
No Compute Card compatibility outside of GPUs
No internal video decoding/processing outside of CPU/GPU
No additional Audio options aside from on-board
It'll probably have 10g Ethernet onboard, but no option for non-ethernet cable networking, multiple ethernet connections, and WiFi will be unupgradeable but probably pretty good by default
No U.2 capability
Built In RAID only (Which will probably be alright, desu)
tall mac mini
MACTODDLERS BTFO
yes, proprietary modules with locked firmware
It'll cost a fucking fortune and i'll want one

Is he an actor?
Which board is that?
mac is for homosexuals
What is he really getting worked up about? What is the sauce of this video?
He's getting worked up over the last star wars trailer.

If it's not ARM, why even bother?
lol that rendering is completely out of this world retarded. design a pro moniker product that will tip over?? lol wtf, kill yourself. I predict the form factory will be similar to the trash can
Apple will find some way to fuck it up.
>I think we designed ourselves into a bit of a thermal corner, if you will. We designed a system that we thought with the kind of GPUs that at the time we thought we needed, and that we thought we could well serve with a two GPU architecture… that that was the thermal limit we needed, or the thermal capacity we needed. But workloads didn’t materialize to fit that as broadly as we hoped.
>Being able to put larger single GPUs required a different system architecture and more thermal capacity than that system was designed to accommodate. And so it became fairly difficult to adjust. At the same time, so many of our customers were moving to iMac that we saw a path to address many, many more of those that were finding themselves limited by Mac Pro through a next generation iMac. And really put a lot of our energy behind that. While that [upgraded iMac] system is going to be fantastic for a huge number of customers — we want to do more.

A mini-ATX-style Mac chassis.
Of course, only in rough dimensions and not in standards.
see
Modular as in you could put in whatever parts as long as it's within a limited bound (eg. Like hackintosh is now), or modular as in apple provides proprietary upgrades that are user upgradable but still provided by Apple? The latter will result in worse perf and increased price
>mini-atx
That's retarded. It's not 1995 anymore and we can have much more space efficient designs. Like 80% of the volume inside a standard mid tower case is empty space.
>I predict the form factory will be similar to the trash can
It'll be a hexagonal prism.
MUH MANCHILD FRUIT TOYS OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG APEL APLE APPL APEL APLE APPL APEL APLE APPL
>based and redpilled
and what happens if you decrease the amount of volume?
that's right, static air pressure increases, airflow decreases, and fan noise increases dramatically
It will be shit and everyone will buy it.
hello underage who doesn't remember Apple before 2013
