Muscle memory

Having your butler remember them all

keepassxc

Your brain.
Or someone elses brain

piece of paper kept under your foreskin

Oy vey thats racist goyim

It fell out when I was having a wank and now I've lost it

this or if you want to have super elaborate passwords no sane human could remember

Lastpass

Fuck I wanted to post this exact spelling?

I find KeepassXC to be pretty good.

brain

hunter3

Lol this autists cannot remember the first name of their mothers you want them to remember 8 characters

KeePassXC is probably your best option. My favorite thing about it is that it has TOTP support.

Die

keepassxc vs pass vs Lastpass

Fight!

kek, one of these obviously

I have 10 passwords at an average of 30 random characters memorized at the moment. Go find a book that teaches you the method of loci.

I unironically keep them in a notes entry on my smartphone.
That's safe right?

org.gnome.PasswordSafe

Google

I write mine all on a piece of paper that I keep snuggly under my ballsack

this

Your brains or something open source. Also, a password manager isn't safe out of the box. You need regular backups of the database and optionally redundant storage for high availability.

$ pass

- it's exactly as safe as the key you use for it
- it's a simple cli program that just works

>8 characters
Lmao, what is this 2005? If you don't have at least 32 characters then you're fucked.

Bitwarden

your brain and a simple algorithm to develop a unique password for each site.

Write 4 words that are 4-6 letters long. Capitalize the first letter of each word. Add a number to the end of each word. Put symbols between each word. Append the website that you are using it on to the end of this.

Voila, hyper secure password, and you only need to remember 4 words and how to put them together. You can use more or less words based on how stringent the website's maximum password length is.

First password is ridiculously easy to crack and if you have two in any order then the simple algorithm because ridiculously simple to decipher as well.
Shit system.

pen and paper

Literally who cares about any password but the one for your bank account?

are you retarded?

Look at the post, see what I did, revise your statement. The last password is as secure as any password is going to get without using randomly generated symbols. No one is going to brute force it, a rainbow table is not going to contain it. It passes a dictionary test, and its tough to guess as the algorithm you use to design it can be whatever you want. It's not even related to your person, as long as you use a random phrase.

these

an encrypted (gpg) elisp script with passwords and usersnames stored in variables. Call them with a simple function so you never open the file on memory.

There you go, you are safe now.

jokes aside, keep it in a very small capsule and insert it inside your skin.

Sort of...
If you trust that nothing out of the ordinary is running on your smartphone I guess so...
The thing is that without auditing the damn thing, how can you tell?

Every night when I'm in bed, about to sleep I recite every password for each site/service. If I dont remember one I check it next day. Helps me fall asleep nicely.

>tfw I'm probably the only one who mentions Master Password when these threads show up
It's unironically the best though.

Your brain and a pen and paper

cat logins.txt | grep pornhub.com

This one

Weekly changes to your most precious of preciouses. No matter what password manager you use. Someone will always get paid off with bitcoin to allow a password database leak.

>pen and paper

what the fuck am i watching

i personally bought all my passwords from her

...
i could go on. What the fuck is happening, who are you people? I mean its one thing to be stupid but this is just ridiculous. Btw keepass with a good master password AND a secondary auth method is the best solution if you absolutely NEED to use a password somewhere but passwords are inherently insecure so avoid them if you can.

keepassxc
use a key and password

Where do you store your key?

Your foreskin

Avoid anything that includes cloud shit.

Bitwarden

What if kills you and rips your brain out?

As far as safest, any manager that's properly encrypting its database and is hosted on your own servers (not the cloud) are about equally safe, with the exception of 1Password which does keep the list of things you have a password saved for in plain text (passwords are encrypted but if you don't want someone with access to your machine to be able to see what you have passwords for, it's bad. It's pretty fucking minor though).

Personally I use a self hosted instance of bitwarden. Easy to set up self hosting, which you should definitely do since you should never store your password db on someone else's servers. It's also pretty nice to use and cross platform. Free tier is way better than 1Password's free tier.

Hosting your own bitwarden server is the only correct answer

Yeah, if you're a braindead idiot maybe.

Use keepassXC.

Is there an advantage in using KeepassXC instead of KeepassX?

> most practical
Google passwords, no contest.

C is cross platform.

BitWarden

Okay, thank you. To be perfectly honest, I haven't really followed the development of Keepass, and suddenly I had to switch to X.
Thought I had missed some development again.

Bitwarden, but I don't have a lot of experience with other ones, but I'm happy with it.

Lastpas premium is the best
Keepass 2/XC if you are poor

Well you don't have much use for your passwords if you're dead, do you?

>Lastpas
Shh...keep it down, you'll trigger their autism by mentioning this.

Encrypt it so they can't get to the passwords

Your own mind.

Use throw away accounts and passwords for everything.

Use cash and buy locally.

Technology is witchcraft and you will all burn for your sins.

does she sell her cunny?

One that you create yourself.

Lastpass, unironically

ok retard

firefox

insane in the membrane
insane in the brain

No. X and XC are cross platform but C stands for Community fork of X.
