Don't you mean Jow Forums4channel?
3 terms imo
So what keyboard is that?
pok3r
60% (anything smaller than tkl, really) is hipster garbage
k bro
>Manchild who uses 60% board is
>a shill for lead filled energy powder
>Sell mediocre shirts and his gf sells mediocre shirts at a higher price
>is a weeb
>utterly incompetent about video quality even though he has been doing this for 5+ years
Wow, 60% is an indicator for degenerates.
>60% is an indicator for degenerates
no shit
the superior layout
Does this thing have potential?
tfw no 10% kb
You don't even know how to use quotation marks and you're also complaining about weebs on fucking Jow Forums? why don't you go back to Jow ForumsTheDonald or whatever shithole you came from? God, what the fuck has this place come to?
Why is this layout not popular? You get almost the same size as a TKL but keep the numpad
>can't even greentext properly
>calling people out for being weeb on Jow Forums of all places
how bout this
adjustable columns seems nice
though at least make it a fucking 40%
then again it's 'gamer' shit
How's the Zowie Celeritas II? Is this even any good?
Apple perfected the keyboard in 1984 tho
Is that a buttplug on the left?
>those bezels
there's nothing wrong with big beautiful bezels
that's gonna be a yikes from me, dude
Try 1990
superior switch type comin thru
not everyone is a desklet
pretty fucking tasty keyboard
>SPERG
they certainly know their audience well
>“This keyboard represents everything about Apple that I hate. It’s a battleship. Why does it have all these keys? Do you use this F1 key? No.” And with his car keys he pried it right off. “How about this F2 key?” Off they all went. “I’m changing the world, one keyboard at a time"
IBM really does know their audience :^)
>second worst alps variant
nah I'd rather use MX reds instead
It's shit like this that makes me ashamed to have a 1391401
F1 above 1 is so fucking logical
Is there any mechnical keyboard like that on the market
If you want to use hardware from 20 years ago at least clean it the fuck up.
Yeah, the Vortex Tab 90M.
Or any 75% really.
>ashamed of using a membrane keyboard
who cares
>cable has been snipped and soldered shorter than the original
910 has a notoriously bad cable, I'm typing this on a 910 that constantly cuts out because the cable is fucked somewhere. Imagine if Logitech could make a half decent cable for their expensive flagship keyboard that has $3 switches in it.
the term weeb was originally defined on Jow Forums
what keyboard is that? looks comfy as heck
i remember seeing your pictures back in the day and thinking those guns were all airsoft.
Pok3r
My MX518 and G5 both had bad cables that died. Never had a corded Logitech keyboard thankfully
Logitech cabling is just garbage in general, I made the mistake of buying a G502 (it was HEAVILY discounted, brand new) and the fucking braiding was literally knotted and half-frayed out of the box. Every other Logitech mouse I've owned has died to a bad cable too, Logitech switches never fail because the products never last long enough for them to fail. I'm not sure if I'll ever buy another Logitech product again, would need to be confident in soldering electronics to even consider it a worthwhile purchase. The Romer-G switches on this keyboard still feel fine and are probably good for AT LEAST another year of use but unless I solder the cable I'd be lucky to enjoy another week of use since it's failing more and more often. Thankfully my replacement keyboard arrives today and I can bin the 910 until I feel like fixing it.
Think you mean it looks gay as heck
Ty but I just wonder if there is a keyboard that has F1 above 1 (or at least closer than logitchet keyboards) whilst still having normal num pad basically 100% keyboard with that Function keys layout
I really would want that or try to build one myself in few years
I just swapped a dynex mouse cable into my MX518 and that works. Better than the original in fact. Something like that would make an excellent first soldering project, although some cables are a straight plug-in swap
>KODESLET
If Logitech had the common sense and decency to make a keyboard with a detachable cable I'd have bought it, but their wireless option (G613) is literally double AA batteries and I don't feel like having to have 4 rechargeable double AAs on a constant charging cycle to use my fucking keyboard. Why they couldn't make it an internal battery charged via detachable cable like any other brand is beyond me.
Kira keyboard
maybe 1800 layout
>SLUT
>SIDE SLUT
Is this right? I don't really know what I'm doing
>implying mx junk can be compared to alps at all
this post brought to you by skcm orange gang
>Literally gatekeeping for using the insult "weeb"
Holy fuck
looks like someone's never used black alps before, not even mx browns are that bad
as a matter of fact, i have three at101w dells. skcm black kicks the shit out of mx browns, even the later bamboo blacks are better
>People getting insulted from the term, weeb, in 2019... on Jow Forums
Go back to Jow Forumsanime you manchild.
fucking weebs
Im going to order this keyboard (Ducky One)
mechanicalkeyboards.com
Any thoughts?
Good board
Don't get browns
Weebs? More like DWEEBS haha
No issue, but why not just get the doubleshot ones instead of the side prints?
Oh damn forgot to mention I was gonna get blues
Should I fall for 40% meme?
I like the look of the side prints more
no... no don't do it. Learn from my mistake. I got real into it but it turned into "Why the fuck do I not just have a tkl instead of a bunch of macros I need to memorize."
fuck no. just get a tkl
Yes, no matter its orientation in the butt it mathematically occupies an identical volume of colon at any given moment.
Cool, you've been around awhile too!
>knowing this much about a literal who
>giving a shit about jewtubers in the first place
You don't belong here.
I used 60% for years now, but want to try fully programmable keyboard.
ErgoTaco bro.
Looking good user. Don't fall for the promicro meme, read ai03s guide and giv'r shit. For extra fun use keebios multiswitch footprints.
Fuck yes you should, they're rad as fuck.
Find you a 60% QMK board. go simple with a sandwich case and something with a onboard controller. Never need autohotkey again
g needs more meme boards.
g needs a fucking bluetooth revision REEEEEEEE
Oh wait heck I just realised my new laptop doesn't have bluetooth, fucking kek
Alright never mind then, carry on
Pic stolen from last thread, can anyone tell me if all white plastic key caps do this after you've had them for a while, that yellow looks disgusting.
I'm love to do RF dongles, shit lasts goddamn years on sweet fuck all for power!
Bromide that starts to go, look up retrobrite and make a batch to soak them in!
ABS will yellow eventually, but in that case the yellow is the original color. You'd only go from white to a yellow like that if you leave the board in the sun for decades.
PBT won't yellow over time like ABS does.
Oh shit there's a fucking idea
Everyone who does have bluetooth will hate you but fuck them, give me your RF keyboard!
(assuming the latency will be good enough to support typing. In other words I hope my childhood experiences with TV remotes isn't representative of what modern RF connections can achieve)
Can anyone recommend me keyboard chinese or otherwise what would come with heavy switches like greens or whites? I'm in Eastern Europe btw.
You're a fucking idiot. That's a solarized keycap set, they're supposed to be that color, as per the solarized palette.
Only ABS keycaps yellow though.
Use Case: Any of those Logitech trackballs or wireless keyboards that run on AAs, shit runs forever and has a decent range/low latency. M570s are RF
Admittedly I'd need to find a way to jank on a lipo and synchronize between halves and aaaaaahhhhhhhhh.
What happened with Jellykey?
Ducky One
Cable between halves is fine, the TRRS will never need to be stretched or even unplugged. It's keyboard -> computer that should be wireless
Lipo is gonna be necessary for any wireless and YOU PROMISED. Kidding, but seriously I'm waiting with baited breath for an update. If it can be retrofitted to an existing one that'd be even better (though unless there's a way to cleverly utilise the USB pins, I imagine that would involve baring some traces and nigger rigging some jumpers).
How's the Corsair K70 Mk 2 with RAPDFIRE keys?
Good? Meme?
Anyone use an xbow? I have an Iris, I'm thinking I'll either save up for a rev 4 once they're hotswappable or get one of those.
Would be a downgrade to be honest. Why would you want something that isn't split and has lots of non standard keycaps?
Don't care about replaceable caps, but I need something nonsplit because my Iris tends to slide if I'm not careful, and it's a bitch to reposition. I like it but it's fucking annoying
And it has rubber feet, too, it's just the fact the case is acrylic, it's very light. I bought it secondhand so I didn't really have a choice in case but still, I like the thing overall.
Topre
>corsair
For the price they're asking, the K70 mk2 sucks.
>rubber dome
yikes
What makes it bad? What's a better mainstream keyboard?
What the fuck makes these so damn expensive? Even clones easily go $140 or more and I don't see what's so special about the design.
Topre is unironically my endgame after about 8 boards.
>What makes it bad?
Keycaps: thin, lasered ABS that will shine up in a matter of weeks and start to wear off in a matter of months. Completely unacceptable quality for this price point nowadays. Finding a replacement set sucks because of its non-standard bottom row, unless you shell out for their own set of doubleshot PBT caps that really should come standard on these boards.
Software: Resource hog, that always has to be running in the background because reasons. Without it, the board is no longer programmable and the lighting, one of its major selling points, turns off completely.
A CM MK750 plus a replacement set of keycaps is cheaper and doesn't require a bloated piece of software to run in the background 24/7, or a Ducky One 2 RGB at the same price point already comes with high quality keycaps that won't wear off out of the box and doesn't even need any software at all.
Alright, just got my V80 shitbox with Matias Quiet Clicks, first impressions are mostly positive.
As far as chattering goes, I tested pretty thoroughly and only found it on the z key. Gonna open the switch up later and clean it up with some alcohol and report back.
As far as sound is concerned, they're fairly quiet, but still considerably louder than the rubber domes on my Thinkpad. Stabilizers are loud as fuck though, except the one on the spacebar, that one might be lubed.
I also notice a bit of pinging on the P and [ keys.
Keyfeel is pretty good, the tactility is very much there, and the weighting feels spot on for me, not too light not too heavy. There is a bit of a double bump, but it's only noticable when you really slowly press down the key, doesn't really register in actual typing.
So overall, I think I'm happy with it. Pretty much does what I wanted it to do, so I'm satisfied so far.
