Why dont you learn dvorak, user?

why dont you learn dvorak, user?
>surperior over qwerty
>no wrist strain
>all main keys on home row
>designed for comfort
>higher WPM
>"you're not still using qwerty, right user?"

it litteraly took 10 min to write this post

because it takes 2 years to learn

Imagine being so retarded you learn dvorak instead of colemak

>have to use someone else's computer for something
>can't type

more like 4 months to get back to your regular speed

the same reason we didn't adopt firewire.

usb just works, just like qwerty.

>home row
who fucking cares my hands are on wasd by default and im at 100 wpm

If you're autistic enough to start learning Dvorak, you won't have to worry about using someone else's keyboard as they'll never leave the house anyway.

I type with two fingers. Sometimes 3 or 4 if I’m feeling ambitious

>home row
What a boomer move. Normal people just freeform and still reach 100+ wpm.

Why are DVORAK and Vim users so obsessed with not moving their hands?
You're already sitting down at a desk, the least you could do is move your hands a little bit.

Weird little fuckers.

why is it called Dvorak when the key arrangement doesnt spell dvorak? At least with Qwerty the keyboard actually spells qwerty

Dvorak was a person.

well he should have made the layout spell his name then

>Why isn't the caps lock key replaced by the backspace key?
>Why isn't the backspace key replaced by the delete key?
>Why not have ctrl, alt, and shift lock keys?
>Why do keyboards STILL have horizontal stagger instead of ortholinear or vertical stagger?

moving your hands is a lot of effort when you're 300kg

>30 year old boomer
certainly not wasting any of my life learning a new keyboard layout for some meme gain thats probably only there for english

You can actually get up to speed on different layouts at a much faster pace than if you just brute force learn it. The trick is to post the layout behind or near your monitor and look at the layout as you type on the new layout. Bonus if you color code the keys for each finger.

Because I'm left handed and QWERTY is left-hand optimized

No it's not. I learned colemak but it's a waste as well.
The based thing is to learn plover, now you can qwerty and write faster. It was a waste to learn colemak when plover exists.

>I'm certainly not learning something
Yeah, definitely a boomer

you forgot the word 'useless' at the end of your first sentence

>>superior over qwerty
debatable
>>no wrist strain
same as qwerty
>>all main keys are on home row
so what? nobody cares, nigger
>>designed for comfort
>(((comfort)))
>>higher wpm
marginally if any
>>"you're still not using qwerty, right user"
Who are you quoting?

Because qwerty is universal

>2019
>not using azerty

I type for a living so this just wont work.

Cause I can't do dvorak in japanese

i can already type at ~110 wpm. why would i switch to dvorak?

BASED
within the confines of this post lie some LARGE FACTOIDS

kys fucking weeb

It's all the same to me, I type with two fingers

>tfw in the flemish part of belgium but AZERTY is still the only choice

because i am not a degenerate who wastes time learning something i already know just in different format

this

>that bracket placement
L O L

Because I rather spend that time learning vim binding (in spacemacs). Much bigger productivity gain, and never had strain problems.

Dvorak seems cool, but I am at a phase where I am done laying groundwork, now I want to build tons of cool shit.

No, I didn't

here you go user

>not workman

If only keyboards had writing on the keycaps telling you what the button did.

That layout a shit
