Nice. If USA can stop them from going business they should do the same.
The first thing that they should have done is suspending any contract related with iDevices, the response would be even quicker

The source, homosexual.

What was the story there? I always assumed they just failed to compete on the market.
Jose Ross
Fake news at it again
Liam Foster
On the contrary they dominated the market.
What happened with MSX is similar to huawei, the factionalisation that went with a host of incompatible rival formats.
So american computer users generally favoured native companies: Apple, Tandy, Texas Instruments.
This gave the room for Microsoft to establish Windows as the world standard.
Just think of the possibilities we could have if MSX remained fold-able keyboard that's actually a computer, just need a monitor, interchangeable monitors.
Benjamin Cooper
It did well in Europe and Japan, not everything fails or succeeds because of the US.

Not surprised.. Shutting Huawei out is just going to encourage them to do everything completely independent of U.S organizations going forward. They've already bought a chipmaking facility in London, and registered their own OS (Ark) Huawei has a tonne of money and they aren't just going to fizzle out overnight like the U.S hope they will.
Isaac Butler
>it did well in Europe and Japan
>dead because of US
It was ironically similar to Huawei, wasn't it?
Lincoln Cox
Pretty sure the plan is just to cause enough of a scare to make them poison for anyone who was going to deal with them/buy their products. Or at least slow them down enough for American to get its own 5G solutions up and running. Killing the company slowly and/or eliminating it from the market would just be a bonus.

what does this even mean? 5G is already being deployed all over the U.S. I'm curious if anyone can point to any factual claim or implication about Huwaeii being ahead and the only game in town...

Someone explains this to me
>Huawei comes out, offering cheap(er) phones and tablets
>Get caught collecting information--something that just about every major computing has been caught doing at some point
>Us issues sanctions because China
>People forget about it within a week
>Trump jumps on Twitter and throws a temper tantrum
>Suddenly major tech organizations and companies drop them as a knee-jerk reaction
>Few weeks later, suddenly all the companies and organizations are back in bed with them
Why do we hate Huawei again? Other than the fact I have to think twice every time I spell their name.

where is this from?

Beyond the blatant spying, their phones are legit shit. Software wise they're god awful in function, design and support further down the line. As for hardware, they're meh. Some of the better smartphone cameras out there, but not worth giving Winnie the Pooh your dickpics and 1 year software support for.
Don't use Chink or Burger phones.

Its not about market share. It's about Huawei trying to dominate the internet core network market by cheating their way in.
Australia and New Zealand triggered this whole deal and CHINA is a much bigger economic partner to them than the US, so Huawei must have REALLY pissed them off badly for them to lock them out first.
The Huawei princess arrested in Canada is a perfect example of what not to do when already sticking your finger in Uncle Sam. Cheating on sanctions with Iran is a surefire way to piss off the Yanks and the dumb bitch thought she'd be safe in Hongcouver or that the Americans would look the other way.
I love how all the Eurotrash on this forum defend China when after they realized the extent of their folly, they told the Americans, I shit you not, that we can offer a "no-spy" pricing option on their Network gear.
You can't make this shit up.
Huawei brought this on themselves and they have already lost.

The UK is giving you the middle finger. Canada and NZ is undecided. Your "based Brazil" is sucking their dick. Only your lapdog Japs actually bans them but again they castrated themselves by signing the Plaza Accord, what else to expect?
Tell your mom to shoot your dog after you kys too. Thanks

This
The whole situation is Huawei's fault. People also forget this has little to nothing to do with consumer level devices(laptops, phones etc) and everything to do with national level telco equipment.
In a different era, people would have literally been shot in the street for purchasing and installing USSR made telco equipment.

All of china has been doing corporate espionage for 50 years. Their business model is being a low-cost production hub for technology to flow in and be produced there, then they steal how to make it. There's a very good reason that china actually purposefully made exports to the US cheaper than anywhere else.
Jose Gonzalez
BASED!! Niggers bad!!

protip: these US decrees affect ANY COMPANY OR PERSON that wants to do business with Huawei while also doing business in the US, ALL OVER THE WORLD. there is a big fucking difference here.
Anthony Watson
>All of china has been doing corporate espionage for 50 years
not even that, US companies opened factories in China, and they just copied and kept producing whatever they had been told to. no need top spy on anyone, they already had the technical knowledge, brought and paid by western companies. kek.
Carter Butler

The thing that annoys me most about this isn't even the issue itself - it's the 'popular reaction'.
All the boomers who are like "lynch Snowden the traitor!" and give you the whole "if you're not doing anything wrong, what do you have to fear from having your skype conversations intercepted and watched by third parties?" and now making a big deal over China doing the same shit. Is China worse on human rights in general? Probably. But it's ultimately the same issue. If the US didn't claim the right to spy on all of the citizens of its allies, its own citizens, AND citizens of 'foreign powers' then we could all agree that China, Russia etc also have no right to spy in that manner.
I don't believe the Chinese establishment or military ever want to carry out a BSG-style attack against the US and western countries. It's simply not in their interests to have any sort of major global war, even an electronic war. So this is really far more likely about US trade protectionism and hysteria, and keeping the world in a state of seeing the US as a necessary 'protector Chad' superpower.
If there was really any meaningful evidence of Huwaeii building in backdoors to their hardware, why can't the US establish this and communicate the information to everyone?
The US itself admits that it's been doing this very thing itself, btw.
