To put it one way, Intel Core processors have been vulnerable since forever but the vulnerabilities weren't known (at least to the public) until recently. Now that the cat is out of the bag Intel is creating mitigations for said vulnerabilities at the expense of performance. Does AMD Zen have vulnerabilities too? Probably. But for the time being they have not been discovered or at least not published for the wider public to be aware of. Ignorance is bliss, yes?
