I7-6700k vs I7-4790k

I then looked at the I7 7700K and I was even more disappointed. Then I looked at 8800K and things finally started to look more sensical, but then I looked at 9900k and shit just did not add up.

Why would I buy a 9900k when I can buy a 6900k which gives me +100% on the single core and multi core performance?

I was actually holding out to buy a I7-6700k instead of a I7-4790k, but now that the beauty of massive benchmark comparison shows only a 3-6% difference, there is no reason to go for the cheaper older one.

ddr3 (deprecated)(slow)
old as EOL fuck drivers
babby sized cache
old as fuck mobos

But you shouldn't buy a 6700k either because the drivers for z170 board aren't being updated anymore and have older technologies particularly for audio. It's a pretty good and potentially very cool running CPU though. Doesn't even need a delid (but maybe you should anyway) with a single 120mm fan AIO water cooler.
